We go every year. It's USUALLY great family fun. This year it was not. We couldn't enjoy ourselves after hearing a child say f@#king every other word. I repeatedly asked this kid to stop because there were several kids & families around, our young kids included. The child was smart-mouthed & kept on until my husband had to confront him & threaten to find his parents. When this was going on, an older girl & maybe same aged boy was trying to get the kid to be polite and stop. The girl apologized for his behavior even tho it was solely on that one child. The punk kid shut up long enough to walk away and say more choice words. What's even sadder than this going on from a child was that there were 3 more even younger kids with them. Idk where the parents were & I know Jones orchard can't really do much about this except maybe not allow the kids in their w/o an adult so I am surprised kids ages maybe 7-14 were allowed in..the kid who was a punk was mad cuz he was lost, obviously he couldnt read the simple map they give out to begin with but no one needs to hear his vugarity especially all the way on another part of the maze. I simply stopped so I could tell him it wasn't appropriate where we all were, that's when i saw how young they all were. The kid was dressed in a killer clown costume and was trying to freak people out thru the maze and had Apparently gotten lost when he decided to use such colorful language. I know all of this from the volumeof which he was speaking, not because he was near us. Anyway, I hate this happened. It kinda put a damper on our day & idk if we will continue our tradition in the following years. I hope Jones sees this and polices the kids admissions a little better. Then we would definitely come back. But I tend to keep my kids away from things they don't need to see...
ย ย ย Read moreI really hope you all see this review. I have an idea that can get you all more revenue. I don't think this is an idea that each of your locations have to do of course, but this is an awesome idea that I saw. And, their is no one in our local area (Memphis or even near by) that does it. So, pumpkin chuckin/chunkin. Build a structure for people to throw their pumpkins on. It is a good way to compost and give back to mother earth. Those seeds or the entire plant does not have to go to way. People can bring old pumpkins, or you can sale pumpkins for them to throw. Look into it. It's really awesome and a good way to relieve stress. I love the yearly corn maze by the way! Please have funnel cakes this year. Last year there weren't any when I went. Anyway, I hope...
