When i first moved from MO to IL, i went here because i wanted to avoid long lines at the dmv. They were charging me $464 to register and title my vehicles in IL, which i figured was the standard price here, as IL is expensive. Well i registered a moped that i bought a year ago, and it cost over $300, despite online saying it would only be around $100 online. Then i titled/registered a car in april and it was $516. I even made a comment about IL raising their prices, and she just said uh huh. But i looked online after i left and IL hasn't raised their prices since 2020. Looking at the reviews, I’m sure there’s great services this office provides, however, for me, I asked specific questions about applying for disabled veteran tags and got a “need to fill out the form for that” - um, what form and where do I get it? Was looking for a summary of what’s required and if there is any savings, but got short, not helpful replies - could have been frustration with crying baby in the background.
