I would give Hughes 5 stars because they do great work. But the last time they fixed our compressor on our A/C, they gave us an invoice that matched the quote EXACTLY, and the invoice at the end was not itemized. We asked them multiple times if we could get an itemized invoice, and they kept telling us they would produce one and never did. We paid $1475 for them to replace the compressor, but it was under warranty, so we didn’t have to pay for the part. Tell me how ONE AND A HALF HOURS of work equals $1500?? Can someone explain? Even if they charged a set amount of hours at $200 an hour, it wouldn’t come close to that. The last man we talked to over the phone said he would call us back to explain everything and send us the correct invoice, but it’s been over a week, and now here I am doing what I can do in a review at this point. Our AC had went out few days ago and we called our regular service technician who still wasn’t able to fix our AC. Tried a new guy in town referred by a friend and he couldn’t find the issue either but gave us 3 high priced options. So I stopped by this place yesterday to see if they could come out to our home and take a look at our AC unit not knowing they offer that service there. Thank God they do! Bc they sent a very honest and kind gentleman, I don’t know if he was the owner I didn’t catch his name from my dogs barking so loud but he told us what the problem was and gave us a few recommendations on how to handle any future issues AND had our home nice and cool all under 10 minutes! Hate that my appliances need parts from time to time. However, service is great. We have Ann old dryer and it broke. Called my warrant service and they claimed parts were on order. I got tired of waiting. Called Hughes. One part wasn't in stock. So, I ordered at 3:30 pm. Next day, all parts waiting on pick up. Orderd on a Thursday. Picked up parts on Friday. I fixed my dryer on Saturday. Three weeks later my ex-warranty Company called and wanted to schedule the repair. I had already canceled their services and replaced them with another warranty company. This is third time, I've used Hughes appliance parts. They do offer repair service and sell new appliances as well. They are always very friendly...
