UPDATE: Well apparently BigTime Battery has a BIG TIME PROBLEM with fulfillment!!! I've been screwing around with this battery company for over 3 weeks now. 1st week...they didn't send the two batteries I ordered, just one. 2nds week...they sent me the second battery but not the one I ordered and paid for that should have been shipped the week before. 3rd week...after they made me return the cheap battery they sent me, you guessed it, they sent me back the WRONG battery again!!! YES we are going down to 1 star. I'll order thru Amazon next time or find a new battery I like.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I tried Banshee batteries for the first time years ago. Ordered via Amazon and have had more than one motorcycle or ATV battery last longer than 4 years. Impressive for the amount of time the ATV battery sits with out a trickle charger on it. HOWEVER this time around I couldn't find what I needed on Amazon, so I went direct thru BigTimeBattery's web site and ordered two red banshee batteries. The first one came in less than a week FedEx, the second one was never shipped. I called a week after the order. I didn't have to hold very long at all, that's nice in this day and age but I was told I only ordered one battery. I objected as I was looking at my order in their system, they looked harder and found the problem. Said they would ship out the second battery that day. Three days later I emailed because I hadn't received a tracking number, it got caught in my spam filter, no big deal. I received the second battery about a week later than the first HOWEVER THEY SENT THE WRONG BATTERY!!! They sent the black battery that has less of a warranty and costs $32 less than what I paid for!!! Emailed again & they offered to credit me the $32 if I wanted to keep the cheaper battery, I did not. They then required me to ship it back to them to get the right battery, 3rd time is a charm right? What really irritates me about this is the lack of consideration for my time. I don't have a FedEx shipping location near me so I had to take time off work to ship back their mistake, that time off cost me more than the battery itself! (especially if you include gas these days) Meanwhile Big Time has made no offer of compensation at all, not in a discount, not in a future purchase, simply no consideration that their screw up cost me more money than their battery. When I asked, that email was simply ignored as if nothing was said, no reply other than "sorry for the confusion". Sorry I'm not confused, I'm completely aware of what happened and I'm even not upset because mistakes are made...but then own up to the mistake by compensating for it instead of trying to save one cheap $50 retail price battery sale. All that said, I've been happy with the batteries, I'm sure mistakes are rare but as for me I think I'll be looking for a different battery company for future purchases or buying them local. This transaction when filled via Amazon was 3 days...this time it was three weeks, cost me double the money, and was...
Read moreI bought a motorcycle battery From BigTime Battery & Electronics online in June of 2020 that had an advertised 3 year free replacement warranty. In June of 2021 while on a charity fund raising ride the battery shorted out and shut the motorcycles motor off while I was going about 50mph. I was able to pull over safely but I was stranded in the middle of nowhere. Luckily there were other riders close by who stopped to help. Attempts to jump start the battery didn't work because the battery was completely shorted out. It ultimately had to be towed back to town. I emailed BigTime Battery & Electronics to file a warranty claim and fairly quickly received a response from "Dawn" which included a warranty order number and instructions for getting a replacement battery for the defective one. I was told I could either ship the battery to them at my expense or I could send them pictures of the battery being tested and of the test equipment test results proving the battery is bad. I'm an automotive technician by trade and I have the necessary test equipment. I sent them the requested photos and then for two weeks I never heard back. I had emailed them a couple times and also left voice messages before I finally received a response from Dawn. She apologized stating she had been gone for personal reasons and asked to verify my mailing address to send the battery to, which I did. It's been over two weeks and I've never received the replacement battery and never heard back from them despite sending more emails and leaving more voice messages. I've been without the use of my motorcycle for over a month. Now I'm forced to buy another battery elsewhere. I'm a senior citizen and a reasonable guy but BigTime Battery & Electronics really disappointed me. It's rare that I've had to take the time to write/post a complaint about a company but be aware stay away from BigTime Battery & Electronics, they're advertised warranty doesn't mean much and their motorcycle batteries...
Read moreI just want to drop a little support for a local business that has a national presence.
I found them over the summer when I needed batteries for my electric wheelchair. They had great prices and I found out that sell on Amazon as well as over the website and phone. I was very happy with the 2 year warranty when most places only offer 1 year.
At this point I was happy that they provided a good product at a great price.
Fast forward to this month. My wheelchair started acting like the batteries were dead and the charger was acting like they were fully charged.
I contacted them and they said to bring the batteries in so they can test them. I had a friend take the batteries over. They called me and told me that apparently I was using the charger wrong! Who knew that my 2 electric wheelchairs' batteries needed to be charged differently.
They kept my batteries over the weekend to recondition them (undoing my improper charging) and told me about a charger/tester/reconditioning device I could get on Amazon. Well worth $75 to protect and maintained $600 worth of 12 cold batteries.
Now they offered to deliver my batteries to me today at no charge! They were friendly and brought the batteries right into the room where my wheelchair is. Of course they were masked and observed social distancing.
In my phone call today I was told since I live so close if I have any more issues to just call and they'll pick-up the batteries!
What can you say about a national battery distributor who acts like a small town mom & pop store?
I will definitely go to them for all of my battery needs and I encourage everyone else to...
