Every now and then you drop in a business that has really hit the mark all the way around. The Ozark Distillery and Brewery on Highway KK in Osage Beach, MO is such a place. I sampled multiple beers and multiple whiskies and moonshine. Every single one was quality. Every one had surprisingly superior flavors. Their flavored distilled spirits had true flavors-meaning they did not use (with very rare exception) artificial flavorings or sugar just to sweeten it up or to take a short cut. Their goal, which they achieved, was to capture real and honest natural flavor in their product. Admirable. Their physical space was also “done right. Very well laid out and appropriately decorated. A very appealing and easy to navigate retail display of bottled spirits and branded merchandise. The bar area divided the retail area from the seating area. All in all, it just looked right. Behind the, for lack of a better term, public building were two buildings where the brewing, distilling, etc. were done. They do offer tours of their production facility. You can park in front or opt for the larger parking area in back. Easy in and easy out. Special mention goes to the employees that helped me during my visit. Both were super friendly. They were well informed about the products, had a great attitude and were genuinely helpful...not to mention patient considering all the questions I peppered them with during my visit. I think next time I’ll leave space in the car so I can pick up a few cases of their quality spirits!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ozark Distillery is such a great spot at the Lake of the Ozarks! The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is always friendly, and the drinks are top-notch and the pizza is even better. Their moonshine and craft cocktails are a must-try, and the food is just as good—perfect for a fun night out or bringing friends and family. Every visit feels laid-back and enjoyable, and it’s one of those places that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend!

Truly enjoyed my time there. Got four samples of the bourbon and two of their brews. I bought the butterscotch (rocks) to create the Harry Potter butterbeer (mixed with cream soda) and loved it. My absolute favorite though was their bourbon barrel beer. Great flavor and body rocks this dark beer. The business has a real good vibe and open atmosphere. Workers were friendly and ready to assist. Would recommend and go back!

PENNY WISE, POUND FOOLISH! Upon arrival I was offered 5 complimentary bourbon/moonshine of the 12 offerings and 2 beer tastings. Sampled the 5 liquors no beer tasting. Went to the counter and purchased 3 bottles for around $100. I asked the cashier if I could do a taste of the cinnamon, since the server recommended it. Cashier said sorry 5 tastes are 5 tastes, nothing I can do even though I never tasted the 2 beers. I do understand the policy but think this is penny wise pound foolish since I would have purchased the cinnamon if I liked it. From there I paid for my 3 bottles. During checkout I chuckled at the tip request of 18,22 or 25% (easy decision to make). Call me old school but I think tips should be earned rather than just be added on. The product offering was decent but got the feeling they didn't really care if I enjoyed the...

We stopped into this distillery because it was close to where we were staying and we were definitely glad we did. They had a free tasting at the bar when you entered and everything they sold was delightful. We bought some cocktails after trying the moonshine and ordered a pizza and sat outside under a beautiful covered eating area with tables and outdoor furniture. The bathrooms were well taken care of and had their own separate temperature regulating systems, and were very well designed. We went back a second time on our stay. They remembered us and greeted us at the door. We had complimentary popcorn and new fun cocktails to try! They also had beers on tap. A great place to spend...
