The Village Shoppe — Local services in Moberly

I wish I had taken a photo of the peach pie that I purchased from the village shop this weekend. It’s a cold peach pie with cream on top. It reminds me of a strawberry pie. My grandma used to make when I was little it was FANTASTIC, I am eating the last slice as I type this. The woman who was checking us out, mentioned that she had made the pie that morning. I stopped in here on my way home from Moberly one day and knew I’d have to come back. I bought a 50 pound bag of flour for $27 which is a great deal especially if you are a bread baker like I am. I really enjoy this Mennonite "Dutch" kind of store. It is well organized, neat/clean, has wide isles, and they provide friendly service. It is well stocked with unique grocery and houseware products. They carry all the usual staples as well. Their patio is stocked with beautiful composite outdoor furniture. In summary, Village Shoppe is a wonderfully stocked store with a deli having fresh meats all in a nice clean environment that makes you want to linger and enjoy...

Neat little market. Nice selection of pre-made soup mixes and such as Cajun red beans and rice. Small but good quality pick of produce and meats. Lots of candy.
