Like one of the previous reviewers, I have had many good experiences at this outlet. I really like the staff, I felt like they gave me good service and great prices. If this was simply about them, then this rating would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, a business is multi-faceted and all parts must work at least moderately well to receive good ratings. This is about the delivery service and if there could be a negative rating, I would be giving it to them. As delivery is an essential part to any furniture store, this rating is definitely valid.
My wife has waited literally all day with two of our children 5 and 7 years old, in our SUV from 9am till now 4:17pm on Friday August 14th and the delivery guy who was supposed to be there from 9-12pm (many times was confirmed) has still not shown up... Worse, it is not for our house, it is for a client of ours and we went out of our way to sing Berrios's praises. We will NOT be doing that again.
Furthermore..this is NOT the first time we have had a horrible delivery experience with Berrios. Honestly, as a small business owner who spends tens of thousands of dollars with them over the past 4 years, I am shocked that this situation has not been remedied. Especially as a valued client, I would think that for commercial orders there would be some extra speed and professionalism but either their delivery team in the San Juan area, or whomever they outsource it too needs to be fired today and immediately replaced. ALL customers who have paid delivery service charges over the years should be refunded immediately. Whether residential or commercial, Berrios must make a point of working for the customer...not the customer for Berrios.
I'm undecided if I will continue with Berrios or whether I will simply order everything online. Amazon and Costco seem to be delivering things from the mainland including furniture...maybe it is time...
Read moreI have been to this store many times and have been treated very well. I have made a number of purchase in the past and been happy with them. On my last visit I got the same good service and had purchased a mattress and box spring. I paid the delivery charge and agreed for delivery in a week. When the truck arrived with the items I realize that box spring I purchased was switched for one of lesser quality. I refused the delivery and back to the store to get my money back. Was told I would have to wait till the next day to get my money back. So I return the next day they refunded my money but the cashier didn't want to return my receipt plus the cashier was $20 short on my return. I counted it 3 times then the cashier grab the cash from my hands and said 2 of the bill were stuck together. First she counts it hidden from my view. Then she counts it in front of me and this time the count is right. If I could give a lower...
Read moreIt was a big place with a lot of good househould products. I bought a chair and a stove. Both times we had a pleasant experience. It felt good that there was no pushy salesman and we could get help when we needed it after we were looking for what to buy . The staff are friendly and helpful. This place reminds me of brandsmart for those that remember but better because it's not so cluttered...
