Alger Rest Area 625 — Local services in Moffatt Township

If you go in from the “car” side, it is extremely difficult for handicap people to get up the sidewalk/ramp incline. They should have a symbol on the “direction” sign for wheelchair bound or disabled people to go to the trailer or truck side. They do have vending machines and the bathrooms are extremely clean. The janitor was very kind to my mom who was struggling to walk up the incline. It deserves five stars really, but not for handicap people at the moment. Spent some time sleeping, awoke to a dead battery. So many people who looked dignified & responsible wouldn't even look at my situation. Has this country really become a people of fearful cowardice? Clean rest area, all fixtures appeared to be working and there was minimal graffiti in the stalls. There was a guy standing still in the lobby with an old boom box playing country music and eyeballing everyone as they came into the facility. I had seen home before at the same rest area a couple of summers ago and it was just as creepy now as it was back then. Needless to say my kids don't leave my sight when we get out of the car...
