I enjoyed my scheduled stop at Tiny's yesterday while he dialed in my new, out of the box Cobra and tuned my antenna for my personal pickup truck. If you are new or old to CB's don't hesitate to pick his brain or utilize his services. It's hard to find a functioning CB shop on the west coast these days. A good week prior to my (scheduled) visit/service Tiny communicated with me in a very prompt, professional, and thorough, manner. I enjoyed my visit and he answered a few more critical questions that I had while waiting for him to complete my work. If you have a new, in the box radio go have it tuned at Tiny's! The same sentiment go's for those of you who own older used radios as well. Make sure you call ahead to set up an appointment. He has a little bit of room for a bob tail, dump truck, RV, or bunked up log truck. There are plenty of places in town to drop your trailers before heading to the shop. I recommend backing into his driveway. Again, don't forget to call ahead to set up appointments. Just as a final testament to Tiny's solid work, I had completely installed my set up prior to my visit and I couldn't get a response to any radio checks for the 39 or so miles I traveled up the I-5. I'll admit I was a bit discouraged by the time I arrived for my appointment. However after Tiny's amazing work was completed and I was headed home I actually netted some great feedback after calling out for a few radio checks. I didn't even have to mess with the Delta Tune or Dynamike. Job well done!!!! I'm glad that I found this shop. I'll be sure to promote Tiny to others and use him for all my future personal and commercial vehicle needs....
Read moreI found Tiny's shop via Google and am so happy I did. Several years ago I bought a Uniden Bearcat 880 cb and tried multiple times to get it to work in my Vanagon and my truck (before reading about a SWR meter). I couldn't get the radio to transmit (figured I blew up the final) so I contacted Tiny via phone as I'm 3 hours away from him. He began by asking what problems I was experiencing with the radio, if I wanted to make an appointment to bring it in etc. I told him I was south of Bend, he said I could absolutely mail the radio in, he told me his pricing (very fair) and he'd take a look and let me know what he found then we'd settle up.
I mailed the radio to his shop and a day after the radio arrived I received a call saying it was done. He preformed some tests over the phone so I could hear it was transmitting. I paid via CC and two days later I had my radio back.
Really appreciate this kind of dedication to a craft and the service I received. I HIGHLY recommend this...
Read moreSo I heard about this radio guy who knows his stuff. Well these days that's a big claim, since everyone knows there are only a few shops still around that you can trust to go digging around inside one of the most important tools in the transportation industry. My uncle M.D. had tiny tune and peak a striker radio and it works great so when I came across the old ranger, it seemed like a no brainer. Tiny's home and work shop is about 40 mins south of Portland, you should not try to go to his place in a tractor trailer rig, as he only has his driveway for parking. That being said, let me tell you the man knows his stuff and it was really cool cause he invited me to hangout, while he worked on my radio he kind of gave me a small tutorial on how the cb radio works and explained all the different adjustments he was making it was honestly a super experience tiny was a great guy and my Ranger 6900f150 works better than I ever imagined it would I'm grateful...
