Menards — Local services in Moline

I have shopped at this store many times but my experience on 1/2/17 was beyond horrible. I recently brought my first home and had came in the store to get my kitchen designed. I requested I wanted the order created with all "in-stock" cabinets and countertops. I was happy with the design but when I went to pick up my order I was informed everything was special order. After speaking with a manager. I was told my order would have to be re-created. So now I'm in the store another 2hrs for them to re-create my order, canacel the other cabinets, and cash me out for the new order. I had asked for the order to be pulled because I needed to pick the cabinets up that day and help lined up to help me get the cabinets in the house. I took about 4 cabinets with me and expressed I will return shortly to get the rest. I need to get a bigger truck. Once I returned needless to say the cabinets were not pulled and I had to wait another 2 hrs for them to pull and load the cabinets in my truck. It is now 9p and I lost all my help for the day and I am left unloading 14 cabinets in the dark by myself. Wr purchased several items from the Menards store in Moline IL, which totalled to $1229.06 but they did not have all of the items we needed in stock, they checked for us and found the rest of the items at a near by Menards in Davenport IA which totaled to $771.38. We spoke with the customer service department in the Moline Menards about getting the 48 month's same as cash. But we had to spent $1500.00 dollers to qualify for the 48 month same as cash, We asked the Customer service department if we would still qualify if we bought the items at different stores but on the same day.we were informed that it would not go on the card that way but we could call the credit card company to have the purchases merged into the 48 month promotion. When we got our credit card bill this was not true the credit card company would not merge the two into the 48 month promotion.We ended up having to take our purchases from both stores to the Moline store, have everything refunded and repurchace them to get everything on the 48 month promotion. UPDATE: November 4th- Just got home from spending more of my money at Lowe's to see Menards has left me the same canned reply that they give every other negative review. I guess being falsely accused of shoplifting, and searched in front of other customers, is the same importance to Menards as people who complained about not being able to find an employee to help them find something. Since we all get the exact same reply.

I have zero interest in "letting you know what you can do better". As I previously stated, I will never return to any Menards location. I will never be comfortable again in a Menards store. So you can run your business any way you wish.
