White Birch Hills Golf Course — Local services in Monitor Township

First time golfing at White Birch as an avid golfer throughout MI. This course is priced well with great drink prices, gas golf carts, friendly staff, quick drive from midland, way more terrain on the back 9 over the front which is a nice change of pace from other courses in the area, & they were able to get a foursome in quickly. This course could use some signage for first time golfers on where to aim as the scorecard map was small, the grass fairway to rough needed some TLC for better distinguishing where to go which could counteract signage, the tee boxes need some TLC, and the greens felt a little squishy. They do have porta potties but only saw one on the front and one on the back, par 5’s were short but that is beneficial for beginner golfers or golfing with your kids, no ball washers, no coolers from bar or on the carts, & carts were decent but no windshields.

Overall, I will go back to this course based on location, pricing, terrain challenge on back 9, & watching the progression of this course & what it has to offer the tri-cities. Looking forward to...

It's the biggest waste of property in the area, if not Michigan. It's blatant false advertisement to call this place a "golf course." Could be good if it had proper design, teeboxes, fairways, bunkers, water and scenery. Ya know, basic things you see at a golf course. But, if you like playing from heavy rough or sporadic patches of hard dirt EVERY shot, losing balls in "fairways," shooting under or around overgrown trees and roots, putting on undulating deformed turtle shell greens and riding in carts from the 90s complete with yellow jacket nests, this is the...

This course only earns a 2-star rating because of the accurate price of $35 for 18 holes with a cart. The fairways are not actual fairways at all; they are terrible very rough. The greens are extremely hard and dirt patches everywhere, making them very unpleasant to play on. Someone needs to learn how to manage the grass. Perhaps they should air-rate the greens for once.
