Super dissatisfied...This place isn't far from home (the other side of the lake) and we came here often before it closed down, then reopened. The food before was so freakin good and the fish and chips were amazing. NOW, I can't say the same unfortunately..We waited in Line and there was only 1 table occupied and a family waiting to be seated. There were a few people at the bar sitting, but it didn't look busy. The waitress we had seemed stressed out but I only ever seen her wait on us and 2 other tables. She took our drink order about 5 mins after being seated. I also put in an appetizer..which came 10 mins before our drinks..The taco salad was not great..I make better ones with left overs after taco night at home..it was mostly lettuce and barely taco anything so it was Dry..very little salsa and sour cream. My husband was looking forward to the fish and chips which was barely enough for a hungry 10 year old boy..the fish peices were tiny and it was a pitiful amount of fries. My waitress talked me into getting 2 kids meals pizza with fries instead of just 1 regular pizza for my small boys. She said it was cheaper and came with fries too! Well, we never got the fries..and after eating our meals was asked if we wanted dessert..and at that point I just wanted a box and our bill. Also, we had no napkins or plates with our appetizers (our kids are 2 and 4) and we ended up finding our own napkins. My Pina colada was good, so great job bartender! But the servers could use some help, direction, practice etc..if they were that stressed with 3 tables and messing up when this food isn't cheap or complicated, I couldn't imagine if I would have asked for anything else. Years ago I served and handled at least 6 tables at fine dining restaurants, some tables with 8 people or more..she had like 10 people total and forgot half the food and stressed out. If we come back we will sit at the bar because there were people there getting their food before we even got our drinks who sat down right before us. This place needs a very helpful and experienced...
Read moreHad more than half the tables open in restaurant and was told tables were available outside (which we requested) but was told a 15 minute wait because they didn’t have enough space in their system to take another order. After about 10 minutes we were told it would be an hour wait because they just got “hit” when no one came in after us and less than half the restaurant was sat. We drove half an hour there to take family that was here from out of state since we’ve been there multiple times before change in owners and knew it was good. I’ve worked in restaurants before and even with systems not working or being down (which in this case they were saying wasn’t enough space?) we managed to make it work to maintain business and serve our customers. Not sure how they’re going to maintain business and stay open if they can’t seat and serve even half the seats available in the restaurant. Disappointing from...
Read moreWe have always rented from the West Marina, but this year we rented from the East Marina. We also rented a tube for the day. So not only was the pontoon the slowest we have ever had (we had a 12 passenger with 5 ppl on it), the tubing was less than stellar when you can only go about 5mph. That never happened pre-COVID when we rented from West Marina, and it was supposedly a brand new boat. On top of that, the gas gauge read under a full tank of gas, but when we questioned it when we got back (of course we took a pic as soon as we pulled away from the dock) we were told that this brand new boat’s gauge was not working correctly. Nor did we get a receipt that outlined how much the gas was, or how many gallons we used. Given that we drive 3 hrs to get there... we probably won’t be renting...
