Lower Wallace Falls — Local services in Monroe

You end up right on top of the first falls with a walk around the fence line giving you views of 2 falls but no great vantage point of the lower one. There is also a view up river to middle falls. This is the first point on the trail from which a beautiful view of Wallace Falls opens. The trail is a bit intense due to the constant climb, but it's worth the hike for the view! I recommend visiting it in the beginning of the year, as there is a lot of water in the waterfall and its mighty is clearly visible...

This is our favorite family hike, we go at least 3 times every year. In the summer it's cool to dip into the river, and in the fall it's beautiful. Our little ones are getting better at doing this hike each time, and I have to carry them less and less...
