Highway 1 Gate - 17 Mile Drive — Local services in Monterey

My PB Pass was just TAKEN by gatekeeper Cody at HWY 1 gate! He said it's the 16th pass he's "confiscated" today! He's HARASSING THE COMMUNITY! HE LIED, saying I could get a replacement for free IMMEDIATELY at Wendy Ruiz's office, no address given on the papers he handed me, her office did not even answer the phone, called Pebble Beach Road Fee Dept and they said a replacement has to be mailed! So now every time I enter PB I have to go through the Visitor's side, hassle with finding me on the list, and stick it directly on my windshield -- I had a gentle adhesive tape to NOT leave a sticky residue on my windshield, which this Cody person had me remove at the gate and wouldn't give it back! I've never seen a Pebble Beach gate guard be so unreasonable, serious, stubborn, and rude. This is going to affect my life multiple times daily, and I'm not the only one if he's taken "16 Passes already today" by 10am! Unbelievable! Outrageous! I would give 0 stars if I could. Spoke with the guard named Jared and he was extremely rude. We provided him with our last name and he responded with "What does that mean? I don't know what you're trying to say." Earlier that day we provided our name to a different guard and he had checked the list to confirm we were on there. We tried to explain to him what we were instructed and he refused to accept it. I think many people give it a 5 star rating because of scenic part. It is beautiful. Every vista point is unique. Me and my girlfriend love nature.
