Favorite Amish grocery store, pretty local too, takes us about 20 mins or so to get there. Fantastic prices on many, many pantry staples. Yes, they sell lots of items that are past the "best by" date on them but this does not make the goods bad. Those dates are legally required to be on them, but if you do your own research you will find that there are so many foods that you can use and eat well beyond that date quite safely. It's an Amish Family owned grocery store that sells canned, boxed, refrigerated, and frozen foods at a discounted price. They also sell beauty supplies, household supplies, pharmaceutical items, etc at reduced prices as well. Since they are Amish, they don't use electricity. They use skylights during the day and flashlight lanterns in the evening. The refrigerator/freezer section is powered by Thermo-King units. It's pretty neat. The "Amish Store" is a special place. Always something new to find. 4 stars only because it appears they are aware of outdated product and I've found multiples of one item, some dated one date, others another date with prices being lower on the items that were outdated longer than the others, less outdated products priced higher.
