Savor the Barn — Local services in Monticello

Fantastic! A great variety of products made in Iowa. It's a great Iowa Mom and Pop Shop supporting local Iowa products. There should be more of these. They have all sorts of things. Coffee, honey, cheese, meat, wine, handmade products, chocolate, spices, maple syrup, candles, the list goes on and on. They also have a wine tasting bar. That was fun. The only thing I didn't personally care for, which I didn't realize until after I got home, was the cottage bacon I purchased. It was incredibly fatty. I never buy regular bacon because of the amount of fat content. I always buy cottage bacon because it's much more lean. Not this stuff. I've never seen cottage bacon this fatty, ever. I won't buy that product from there again, but I enjoyed...

We have driven past Savor the Barn on our many trips to Dubuque. Since they opened, I always said I would stop the next time! Finally "the next time" came and now we stop at least one time every visit. Jerry and Lisa are great. They greet you, tell you about their products, and talk about their locally sourced, organic products. Well worth the stop to see what items they carry for that season. Taste some of their delicious pork products, cheeses, wines, breads, and other great items. Savor The Barn has my business in order to support their philosophy of Bountiful Agriculture Raised Naturally. They have never disappointed me with their products! A must stop...

An amazing gem that you mustn't drive by! Local delights from all over Iowa from cheese, meat, dog treats, jams, honeys, olive oils, wine, textiles, lotions, and so so much more! They occasionally have wine tastings, and have a beautiful patio you can sit at and enjoy your bottle! I cannot speak highly enough of this place, or the owners. If you even have just 5 minutes to spare be sure to pull off the highway...
