Nathan is the nicest person ever. Not only does he run a great little store, but gives great tips on driving/hiking through Black Canyon! Cheap Black Canyon t-shirts ($5-$10). Much better off going here than the visitor center in the park. Great selection of unique knives, jewelry, rocks, and crystals. Many of the rocks are mined locally and are quite interesting. Other tchotchkes are for sale in the shop as well. Good selection of maps if you’re in need of one. Firewood available even after hours. This store is in a great location and has been owned by a family for generations. If you’re planning to drive through Black Canyon, you shouldn’t pass up the chance to go inside and check it out.    Read moreProbably the best time we had during our 12 day Colorado vacation! The shop is packed full of all kinds of rocks, knives, jewelry, antiques and curiosities. He also has some basic supplies for campers. The best part is chatting with the owner of the shop and garnering knowledge from him about everything in his shop while relaxing by the antique stove that he had just fixed his breakfast on. I'm positive that doesn't happen anywhere I've ever visited. I had to pick up a few knives for my collection (when my head stopped spinning from the variety) that I am proud to own.    Read moreI discovered black canyon 15 yrs ago. I visited this store and purchased great large piece of the purple chrystal rock. 300.00 . Last week we revisited and the store and things have gone down hill. I was looking for another rock crystal rick. Everything looked like leftovers. Not friendly. We lasted 15minutes. Sorry but they need to replenish with fresh stones and canyon art. Sorry....
