Dollar General — Local services in Mooresboro

Good dollar general for the most part but there is a newer one just a few miles away next to the kangaroo gas station that is definitely the best one I've been to in a long time. The staff are actually helpful although they don't get paid hardly anything which is sad knowing how much money DG brings in. Most dollar generals seem to have issues with stocking, but I know that is mostly due to the fact that they only put 2 people working at any given time. I think they spend to much time setting up new Planograms and with only 2 people working they either never get finished or by the time they do get it finished, it's time to redo it again. Which usually means the boxes of merch are out on the floor all day. This is how almost every dollar general is though. I do love how they always have different decorations and things like that but they need to figure out some ways to fix that. Preferably hire a few more employees, that would also reduce theft which is an obvious issue. Or even just slow down a little on changing everything so often. Just my...

Employees aren't caring enough to do a proper job. Many Many empty shelves, empty pegs, Items are pushed back instead of being pulled forward. Going in is like a treasure Hunt. Are you going to find it? Is it hidden? Did someone bothered to stock it? Is it expired..? For the past 4 years it has had many, many Managers, Assistant Managers, Leads and employees. For the past 4 years I've been requesting lightbulbs for Appliances, 4 years still just empty pegs. I have to drive to another town to buy the things that DG carries just simply doesn't order. (I understand the pay is bad, but unfortunately this is your job. This is a at will state and no one is obligated to work in a place you aren't happy because of Your DM and Corporate) This store is not catering to the community. Store is very clean!! And staff is very nice!! I was looking for our son something for Valentines Day, and the items i was looking at had gotten scrambled around and none was in the same place, so i was confused with the prices. So i found the lady a few aisles over, and she was busy putting up stuff on the shelf. But i asked her for her help and she was right there to assist me!! (The other lady was busy ringing customers up at the time..) She went and got the scan tool & scanned each one so i would know the right price & also so she could get all the others in their correct spot once again!!
