Update:I went online to find the same waffle iron for a MAX price of $34.95.
I moved here about 15 years ago. This used to be one of my favorite places to go to get things to work on. To make nice for my kids when they move out. I haven't been in three or four years. And holy smokes! Now, mind you this is a thrift store. There's a stock pot it was $75. There's a waffle iron that's priced $35! There are four chairs that are in pretty good shape and they want $575 for them! They are a thrift store and Not a hipster store. Nothing like the thrift stores catering to the rich who don't need to shop at a thrift store.
I might try again in a few years. But I'm pretty sure I won't be going back anytime soon. I don't want to spend $35 on a used waffle iron to find out that the heating element doesn't work. I found the pot at Salvation Army for $4. They don't understand we're taking chances on these things working and we need them priced to reflect that.
On a different note, I give them three stars because they do do work for people whose homes have been destroyed or need upgrades for disability. Also, the people in here are very very nice and I hate to say anything...
Read moreHostile unprofessional manager. We walked around through the outside side gate to the back lot to peruse the items for sale in hopes of finding what we needed. We were not wearing masks, since we were outside. After not finding what we needed, we went into the store to leave through the front door because the side gate had been closed. The manager proceeded to inform us that we needed masks to enter the store. We informed him that we had come through the side gate to the back lot, and now, it was closed. He kept saying repeatedly that we “need to have a mask on to enter so wear one next time” in an aggressive tone. We stated that we heard him, and he continued yelling across the store to us as we were leaving the store. Very...

You have to know the story because you can go out the back door and they have washing machines outside in the shed, stoves air conditioners everything. Very reasonably priced. The people that are friendly and very helpful thank you. I needed a soul rack for my stove in my new apartment. That did not come with one and I went there to look for one and I got one for $1.74. Would say my Thanksgiving dinner cuz if I only had one rack I would have to one...
