I visited Heatwaves Salon recently and truly appreciated the kindness of the staff. Stephanie started my haircut, but I wasn’t satisfied with how it was going, so Jennifer stepped in to try and fix it — I respect the effort and their willingness to help.
Unfortunately, the final result wasn’t what I had hoped for. I came in with a clear idea: I wanted to trim and shape my hair with long layers, aiming for a style similar to what I had a year ago — something with natural wave, movement, and softness.
I’ve attached 3 photos for context: • Photo 1: How my hair looked a year ago — longer, flowing, layered. • Photo 2: How it looked just before the recent haircut — still long, but ready for reshaping. • Photo 3: How it looks now — too rounded and bulky, especially on the sides, and missing the wave and flow I liked.
The final shape didn’t suit my hair’s natural texture — it came out heavier and lacked the movement and softness I was aiming for. It seems the layering techniques needed for thick, wavy hair weren’t really applied here.
