
This mountain range is spectacular and diverse. Most people think about the Wasatch mountain range and think only of the Salt Lake mountains of Parleys, and Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. These are very pretty with popular hikes of Bell Canyon, and Donut Falls. My favorite mountains in this range are the American Fork Canyon that is a gorgeous drive. The hikes of Grove Creek, Battle Creek, Stewart Falls, Bridalveil Falls and Dry Creek in Alpine all have beautiful waterfalls and are so worth the hikes. Dry Creek Canyon in Lindon has amazing cliffs at the entry and is one of the most beautiful hikes in the fall. And the Provo Canyon and Rock canyon has some of the most interesting geolocial fault fomations on the cliffs and mountains that driving them or hiking them is breathtaking. Lol its always well maintained by the state, with tons of options and locations for overnight camping or just day use.The designated area is a great way to spend the day. Lots of extra activities and rentals available. The water is warm and not murky like Utah lake. It's only an hour and half or so from Lehi so we like to go up on weekends and camp, we take our four wheelers, Razor and the boat or wave runners. You can do it all at starvation.
