After losing one of our precious doggies, we began the search for a Goldendoodle for our family. After getting recommendations from friends in TN that knew of many Goldendoodle breeders, I just happened to look in Arkansas where we live, not expecting to find many options. I somehow stumbled upon Petit Jean on Facebook and we fell in love with Checkers (formerly Lemuel). The process was thorough, but quick and we felt very comfortable with PJP, especially after reading the many FB reviews. They are very informative and knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. The best part is that Checkers is a very healthy, loving, and well adjusted puppy. He has had no issues going into the crate, doesn't whine, was basically trained already, and has the best temperament EVER. If and when we are looking to get another pup, I will definitely go back. I'm still blown away at how beautiful our pup is and how smart he is. If you're looking, PJP is definitely the place to go!

Our first PJP puppy we picked up in November of 2021, I believe we worked with Laura and Gina- we had such an amazing experience... and our dog "Marcel" who is now brady- is literally the best dog ever, so when my daughter found a little girl on PJP that she was dying to have we were like sure... this experience was not the same with Amber the new owner... it actually has been terrible. My mother in law picked up our baby "Diez" who is now Kobie on Friday before Christmas, she apparently had just been groomed- it was a very poor job- but that was the least of our concerns... hair will grow back. Kobie arrived at our house on Saturday. She was so playful and fun, but we noticed there was blood in her stool- Amber sent some medicine home, which at first I did not agree with giving it to her because as a nurse- there was no MG marking I had no idea how much I was giving or why I was really giving it- but because there was blood I went ahead and gave it. Everyday Kobie seemed to get worse, more and more blood. The vet opened and we took her in we were there for 3 hours- I contacted Amber and the response from her was shocking... I Have never been more disappointed. She told me I should not have gone to the vet- even though there was SO much blood that it was all over her fur, she then told me the tests the vet was running were inappropriate and I was being scammed. She also could not tell me when Kobie had her last vet check- we thought we were picking up a healthy dog but that was not the case. The first vet bill should have been $75- turns out it was FOUR HUNDRED... and her response was you shouldn't have gone to the vet, if you want I can ship you the medication. Amber was so unprofessional, she had a rebuttal for everything I said. Amber seems to think she is a vet, and knows more than others... I disagree with the vaccine schedule... Marcel's was very different, Marcel also was not sent home with the medication mixture that Kobie was sent home with. This has been more than "Stress Colitis" One week after being under the care of a medical professional there is still a good amount of blood in her stool. We were sent home with a sick dog that needs lots of care, medications 3-4 times a day, and lots of watery stools. Amber hasn't offered anything... we signed that we were getting a well dog and she never offered to pay a portion of the vet bill. Be careful with using PJP... it is not what it use to be, the level of professionalism and knowledge is not the same under the new owner. UPDATE We have had Kobie Since the Friday before Christmas. We went back to the Vet, she is still having bloody diarrhea- the vet is having to send off her stool to a lab to run tests to see what is causing this so she can be treated appropriately. The NEW PJP is very different... there was not Certificate of health... maybe it was on purpose and she knew she was selling a sick dog. I know there are alot of PJP supporters... I once was one myself which is why we got a second dog from the, but his new ownership is not the same... no honesty, no professionalism...no communication. I will continue to share my story of this new PJP experience. It is not fair to spent this amount of money and be given a very sick dog that needs extra tender love and care. Laura would have never done something like this- Amber is very different than the previous owner. Becareful getting a puppy from the new PJP... you can expect a PUPPY MILL experience LAST UPDATE Test results came back today and fecal sample came back positive for Giardia- I don't know alot about puppy things... but when I google it seems you get this from being in a dirty environment. Amber suggested "I bet Kobie has Giardia" the only way she would know that is if there was an outbreak at her puppy mill. I have 3 dogs technically from 3 different breeders and never experienced Giardia with any of our pups. Amber really did a number on us because now all of our pups have been exposed to this. Be very careful where you get your pups... do...

My dog Chip (F1b cavapoo Petit Jean Puppies) was born on 6/11/2024. I purchased Chip from Amber Shipp on 8/13/2024. Living out of state, I used Liberty Acres Pet Services (pet nanny) whose services were excellent and met the pet nanny with Chip at the airport in PA. I had been instructed to give Chip medication, which was provided to me by Amber Shipp to help PREVENT stress related diarrhea during my puppies transition into his new home. Chip was experiencing diarrhea on his arrival and he would not eat any food. I took Chip to my vet for evaluation and following testing Chip was diagnosed with Giardia. My vet instructed me to contact Amber Shipp as Chip had arrived with a Giardia infection. I contacted Amber who explained to me about dogs kept in a kennel situation and transmission. It would be a few months, additional vet visits and antibiotics before Chips Giardia infection finally cleared. Chip a loving, sweet and wonderful companion experienced two grand mal seizures on 4/12/2025. He was hospitalized, blood work test results normal and the incident treated as a one time life occurrence. Within one and a half hours of Chip being discharged from the hospital Chip had another seizure and he was hospitalized once again. On 4/14/2025 Chip had an MRI, spinal fluid testing (performed by vet neurologist) and additional extensive blood work. Test results were normal and Chip was started on Keppra (generic) with a working diagnosis of idiopathic epilepsy. Chip continued to have seizures and his Keppra strength was increased twice. My vet recommended that I contact Amber Shipp who told me that she had not received any seizure reports re Chips litter-mates. She suggested that possibly the seizure activity was caused by an environmental factor (this was not the case). Amber thanked me for reaching out and asked that I keep her posted. Chips seizures continued and an additional drug, Phenobarbital was added to his treatment regimen. Chips seizures continued and the Phenobarbital strength was increased. My beloved Chip was taking medication at 5 am, 8 am, 1 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm daily (total of 9 pills daily) and the seizures still continued. Chip would loose his sight during his seizures and it was taking longer and longer for his sight to return, following these episodes. I had run out of options to help Chip (vet bills over $8,000) and my beloved boy was suffering. On the night of 6/8/2025 Chip had two grand mal seizures and I made the painful decision to have Chip 'put to sleep'... heartbroken on 6/9/2025 I held Chip in my arms at my vets office. My puppy would have been one year old on 6/11/2025. On 6/10/2025, I contacted Amber Shipp via email to let her know about Chip being 'put to sleep'... I never heard back from Amber Shipp. Amber Shipp who had asked that I keep...

We can't say enough great things about Petit Jean Puppies and Laura's crew. I've pretty much kept it private, but since it's out in the open now. The day we flew out to pick up our puppy (which has been 3 years as of today 04/07/2020), we literally ran into Drew Brees and his family there. They were there to pick up additional puppies as well.

We did our fair share of research, and it started off by word of mouth recommendation. My wife and I saw someone at the airport with a mini golden doodle and knew that's what we wanted. She recommended Petit Jean Puppies, and that's when we continued our research. We lost our dog a year earlier to cancer, and it was no doubt like losing a family member. That's how long it took before we were ready for another dog. We got our Bella (Parents: Farmer & Cricket) and absolutely love her. She's been an absolute best companion ever. Smart and trained really quick. She certainly has the routine down and pretty much runs the house.

Seriously I can't thank Laura and her crew enough. When we picked up Bella, we actually hung out and visited with the family. The process of purchasing one of her puppies is that the new candidate family has to complete a background application. This is to ensure you will be an excellent, dependable fit for your new family member. It's just short of a child adoption process. This isn't meant to scare you off, it's just how serious they are with the placement of one of their puppies.

Again, I highly recommend Petit Jean Puppies and Laura. You'll be glad you did. Best of luck on picking out your new family member.

Tank and...
