We love it here! (At least during the off season, I’m nervous about when the tourists arrive.) All interactions with other folks have been lovely, our dog can run around off leash, and has only been hassles by one other dog in an unpleasant way, but the owner got the dog under control. We take the baby and dog, and have a nice walk out, which has been a huge help during this pandemic winter.

Best dog park ever! This beautiful lake is surrounded by hiking trails and the infamous Acadia National Park carriage trails. Our dogs had so much fun playing with other dogs here but also enjoyed the pond itself. The park is well maintained and has doggie bags and a covered trash bin for owners to keep up after the pets.

One side of the pond goes through a forest on a hiking trail, while on the other side of the pond you walk on a carriage trail. It's a nice place to walk your dog(s) as well or have a family picnic.

There's a well hidden upper parking lot west of the pond on Route 3. A magical trail called Friends Trail winds through the woods down to Little Long Pond. Be sure to check out the stunning Rockefeller boat house. Children...
