Today I had an unfortunate experience based due to an error by an employee at this location. The employee placed a fuse back in the wrong spot. This cause my car to store accelerating pass 10 miles per hour. I pulled over on the side of the road out of harms way and called to speak with the employee. I told the employee what was happening after he moved the fuses around. I asked could he come help and figure what he did wrong. He said he could not at the time but would try on his lunch break. He never came. I was able to drive the car very slowly to auto repair shop. The shop stated the employee placed the fuse back in the wrong spot. The spot he placed it in should have been empty and the right spot was above it. I went back to the Store after the mistake was corrected at the shop. The engine light and traction off light had now come on because of the mistake. Tyler kindly pulled the codes and explained the lights would go off after driving. They did. The employee who made the mistake did not apologize. Tyler did. He collected my info and stated he made the manager aware. A simple apology from the other employee would have...
Read moreI feel that the O’Reilly’s corporation has done a good job buying their way into our local auto parts market. I like their offering of competitive pricing, inventory availability and the addition of specialized services. Although I am not a regular O’Reilly’s customer, all of my interactions have been at the Mt Holly location. With all that said, my experience with the Mt Holly store has been weighed, measured and found wanting. This location advertises they offer brake rotor resurfacing. I have been there now twice with rotors in hand only to hear the proverbial saying…. ”sorry, but we don’t have time”. I find this alarming due to personally seeing three employees in the store both times. Honestly I must thank these employees for saving me money. The $25/rotor resurfacing fee O’Reilly’s Mt Holly charges is more competitively priced at $10/rotor at other local shops (Bishop Auto) with minimal waiting. One might say this rotor resurfacing service is understandably unavailable due to lack of proper staffing, but should they? Let’s put our oars back in the water...
Read moreI had an employee tell me " don't scream at me!'' when I first called in and I was asking "can you hear me?" Then he didn't know how to look a batteries warranty up. He referred me someone else that knew how to work the computer. Then she told me that I did not not need to explain the issue of the automobile not cranking after setting six days to her. That I needed to listen to her telling me that it is normal for a battery not to crank my vehicle after sitting that long and my vehicle is a recreational vehicle and goes several months in the past sitting and always the battery still worked. The battery is only one year old and has a three year warranty. So I will be calling another store to receive the help I...
