Caverns Mart — Local services in Mount Jackson

After almost 12 hours of driving, we stopped to fuel up before heading to our hotel. Upon restarting the truck, the compression pump seized and the serpine belt snapped rendering us immobile. Without local taxi service and the late hour, we were stranded - until the wonderful clerk, Anna, called her husband Mark to rescue us. (Thank you again so much!) The state police happened to stop in the store, and after hearing of our dilemma, offered assistance as well. We were grateful for all the wonderful people we met on this trip, including the Sheriff's department who assisted us in getting the truck into a repair shop, CC Rosen for the excellent service repairing the truck in one day, Mark and Anna who literally rescued us, the staff at the Quality Inn who were helpful and supportive, and all the nice welcoming people we met as we explored the beautiful historic town of New Market, VA on foot (the only way to enjoy the history). We will be back to visit for sure! First stop - Caverns Mart to visit...

What a wonderful manager! I am traveling from Tennessee to Pennsylvania today. I stopped at the Quick Mart for gas. This is the cleanest gas station restroom I have ever seen! The store also is so clean and organized! It looks like someone cares! Then I met the friendly manager at checkout. He explained how I could save $.05 per gallon on gas at all shell stations. Nice convenience store. If you are a fuel rewards member then shop and buy your gas inside because if you pay and pump your gas before you shop then the attendant can NOT add your purchase to your rewards Card. They need to upgrade their cash registers. An upgrade would enable them to scan the convenience items you buy and you would then get the rewards credits added to...
