Honestly one of the best days of my life! No exaggeration. We were looking for something fun and unique to do far from the busy city when we came across Eastland Alpacas near Tiny Estates. They usually prefer morning tours during the summers as alpacas get really hot under the afternoon sun. We went at 11:30am (supposedly 11:00) but they still accommodated us despite us running late. Kevin showed us around the barn and explained how alpacas lived and what their differences where. We started by feeding them (SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE) which at first we didn't think we would be able to do, so that was a pleasant surprise! We went around and took videos/pictures. Cordon Bleu was a popular and super friendly alpaca who we were able to hug as well! Overall it was such a lovely experience, alpacas didn't try to spit on us at all. Thank you so much Kevin for sharing an the story of the oak tree (as a bonus) we were all very inspired as young adults we wish to be as passionate at what we do as much as you are in taking care of alpacas. Sue took our call and accommodated our reservation right away, and explained a lot of things we could get from the store! So many good finds and good stories. Very lovely couple who loves the alpacas. Couldn't be happier! Would love to go back....
Read moreOur career recently brought us to an incredible hands-on training experience at Eastland Alpacas, and it was truly unforgettable. We had the opportunity to learn directly from the source how this family-run farm operates—from the care and daily routines of the alpacas to the full process of turning their fleece into beautiful, high-quality products.
The team walked us through every step of their journey—how they got started, the trials and triumphs of running an alpaca farm, and how they’ve built a sustainable business rooted in care, passion, and patience. Their story was not only informative but deeply inspiring.
We even got to hand-feed these gentle, curious animals—which was a total highlight!
This experience was filled with meaningful lessons—about hard work, craftsmanship, and the value of connecting with nature. We’re so grateful our work allows us to cross paths with people living out such intentional and fulfilling lives.
If you’re ever in the area, we highly recommend taking a tour. You’ll leave with more than just knowledge—you’ll leave with a renewed appreciation for simplicity, purpose, and the animals that help make...
Read moreWent here with my family today. Sue and her husband run a beautiful farm. It is not extremely large so it’s not a ton of walking which is good for everyone from tiny babies to elderly! The alpacas are precious, docile and hilarious looking. Sue is a wonderful woman, she is so welcoming and very intelligent. They have a well manicured property and they take very good care of their animals. There are a lot of farm cats (and kittens) that were clean and super friendly, especially with the children. You end off the tour with a stop in their very organized gift shop. Such unique gift ideas and cool stuff. It is a donation only tour, so I would encourage anyone who goes there to purchase something and tack on at a minimum $20 for your visit. That’s what we did and we felt like it was money very well spent. If we had more to give we would have! What a lovely experience. Praying for a miracle for Sues husband. We will be back...
