Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel has been fantastic in every way. My dad moved there in January 2020. It is a difficult move from living in your own home to moving to a new environment of independent/assisted living. We looked at a lot of places and couldn’t be happier with Arbor Terrace Mt Laurel. It is clean, welcoming, friendly and more like a home environment. They are extremely capable, competent and caring in every aspect and every level of care. Particularly with regard to Covid-19 Arbor Terrace Mt Laurel has been very professional, open and conscientious following or exceeding all the guidelines from the CDC keeping everyone safe and keeping families informed about the plans, actions and status. Most import of course is that my dad likes it there. He said that he will move out of the house to Independent/assisted living when he gets old. He is 96 now and finally he made the tough decision to move forward. I am delighted he is safe and loved there and most important that he is happy. I highly recommend Arbor Terrace Mt Laurel without reservation. We are thankful there is a facility of this caliber available to our dad. Time to update my experience with my dad and Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel. My dad really enjoyed the activities, friends, residents and staff at Arbor Terrace. He gardened and walked around the beautiful property. When he made the transition to assisted living, I thought of the here and now and was so happy my dad was enjoying himself. What I didn't think too much about is that we all get older, change and ultimately pass away. Well, my dad when thru that transition at Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel and I am so thankful to the facility and staff there. They are all so thoughtful, kind and understanding. They enabled my dad to maximize his abilities and experiences depending on his situation. That has been a real blessing. I am touched by the culture of care and support of Arbor Terrace and can't thank them enough for all they have done for my dad. I absolutely highly recommend Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel for your loved ones. They will have an environment of love and support that will embrace and encourage their capabilities and situation as well as the flexibility to change as your loved one changes. My mother was a resident at Arbor Terrace of Mt. Laurel from May, 2021 to January of 2024. She was initially in the Assisted Living wing and loved her new apartment, the staff and the residents. She felt welcome immediately. Even the maintenance staff helped tremendously whenever she had to have a repair or a new piece of adaptive equipment installed. A year later, it became obvious that she was struggling with everyday tasks and would benefit more by moving to the Bridges wing. That was when she really needed to feel like she belonged in her new environment, and the residents, the staff and the nurses became vital to her daily care and overall comfort. Mom always said, "The people who work here are not just employees, the are also my friends," and she really meant it. Her last few months were difficult for her and after Thanksgiving she was put on Hospice care. I can't thank the aides and the nursing staff (with Flora as head nurse) who helped her, including Andy Rosario, Faustina Amuch, Rosa Dejesus and Daphe Georges. In addition to their kind and generous attention, I also want to mention Karen Johnson, who got Mom involved in games and crafts and checked in on my mother daily, Amanda, who gave her love and attention and made sure she was included in all of the activities she could participate in, and Judy the receptionist (and all-around problem fixer), and the nursing staff who were exceptionally caring and listened to all of my worries and concerns. And, though it is never easy to lose a parent, having a supportive administration who made sure my mother was being looked after and made comfortable and who welcomed me to stay in her room as she transitioned, making sure I had whatever I needed to remain by her side until she passed, made all the difference in the world. Above all, I'd like to mention Punam Patel, the administrator, who listened to all of my concerns and went above and beyond to be there for my mother and my family.
