I am a huge proponent of small business. In my opinion, while most all big corporations and big box stores have moved away from a truly "personal" customer experience, I can still count on getting individual attention when dealing with a small business. Examples of what I mean are (1) when calling a small business I actually hear a live person on the other end, and (2) if I leave a voicemail message or send an email, the small business is generally very timely in responding.
I wish I could say the same for my recent experience with Ashley Nichole. But first, on the plus side of my experience is that I am very pleased with the products I ordered. On the flipside, I have NEVER had to wait nearly 2.5 WEEKS to receive an order of wreathmaking supplies from any vendor I have and do order from.
I received a marketing email of a sale on Ashleynicholedesigns.com. The email also offered an additional 20% off, along with a link to the website. IMPORTANT NOTES 1. At the top of the website was a banner disclosing processing "production" orders was 10-14 days. This would NOT apply to my order as it was for in-stock merchandise. The additional 20% off discount code expired at midnight, the night before I placed my order. I had every intention to place the order before the expiration, however, I got sidetracked with a customer and forgot to submit the order. Early the following day I placed the order. I also send an email requesting Ashley Nichole Designs honor the additional 20% off discount. I also asked if they did apply the discount to refund the difference to my payment method. I sent three emails over four days requesting a response to my email for the additional discount. It wasn't until the sixth (6th) day that I got a response. NOTE: on day two of waiting, Ashley Nichole Designs closed their brick & mortar store due to snow. I don't believe this is a valid excuse for not responding to emails. They have an ecommerce website that is open 24/7 and therefore, this business owner should be responding to emails. Just saying!
At this point, we're on day 6 from order date and I am getting no updates on the status of the order. Nothing telling me it is even being processed. With any other vendor, my order would have already been shipped and frankly, I would already have the order.
For some perspective of the timeline: the order was placed on 1/21/2025 email requesting add'l 20% off on 1/21/2025 brick & mortar store closed due to weather on 1/22/2025 (website remained open) response to email and refund of discount on 1/27/2025 received email of refund for out of stock item on 1/31/2025 received email that order shipped via UPS with tracking number on 2/3/2025 (13 CALENDAR DAYS FROM ORDER DATE) received email "Your order is out for delivery" on 2/5/2025. Order received - (15 CALENDAR DAYS FROM ORDER DATE)
Again, my opinion, but 15 days is not acceptable. I am certain that my order and probably other's simply sat with no sense of urgency from Ashley Nichole Designs to get their orders fulfilled. No consideration that these customer ordering online might need the products to fulfill their own order!! I think what bothered me most is that while I sat waiting and waiting and waiting to get my order, I was able to see that this business was active on social media and made several videos of wreaths they had made and were for sale. Yet I can't get my products to make my wreaths that I am going to sell. Seems like a case where the customer is not the priority.

Read moreOrdered a fall wreath on 9/2. considering i was ordered for an upcoming season that is very limited , i made SURE i read all the fine print about lead and shipping times . Confirmation email i received on 9/2 also states 10 days . i have enclosed that with this review . As we were at the 10 days , i received an email from this business that they were a little behind schedule and orders would ship soon . they were behind due to covid concerns . I was totally ok with that . The very next day , i started getting spammed with solicitation emails about all the stuff they have in stock and new items they are making . Almost 10 days later , i am still getting these solicitation emails . However , the wreath i ordered still has not shipped . i reached out to this business and she was very stand-off ish , saying now they are 10-14 business days lead time and one day was a holiday . this process was never communicated until my lead time had passed . according to the short business owner , won’t even have the wreath until first week of october . most importantly , the repeatedly soliciting people is my bigger issue. please do not spam customers to buy buy when you are not able to keep up with your current demand for customers that have paid for your goods , in good faith . Please focus on the customers you have currently that have paid you for goods , NOT spamming people with false lead times to make a dollar .
