I recently had the pleasure of playing at Fort Cherry Golf Course, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The course itself is well-maintained, with lush fairways and greens that roll true. It's clear that the grounds crew takes pride in keeping the course in top shape. What really stood out to me was the layout. It's a beautiful and challenging 18-hole course that offers a good mix of long drives, tight fairways, and strategic approach shots. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced golfer, there’s something here for everyone. The food and drinks were great. The staff were friendly, and they made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, Fort Cherry Golf Course is a fantastic place to spend a day on the links. It’s affordable, challenging, and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreI love this course! Played here about 5 times so far. The clubhouse is old, and when you show up it looks like you’re entering a sketchy motel haha.
But the course is very well maintained and the holes are challenging but fair. I feel like Fort Cherry nails the difficulty of rolling hills but doesn’t make it unfair (looking at you Moon Golf Club!!).
The owner is really chill and has given me two rain checks so far for different reasons.
If you play on the weekend, expect it to be crazy busy and fast pace of play. They do 8 min spaces between tee times so it’s very packed. If you go during the week anytime before 2:00 you’ll have the course to yourself.
Also don’t book a tee time through their online service. If anything happens they aren’t able to help you with the transaction because it’s through a...
Read moreWe played this course on Sunday the 5th of July. As we were getting our carts two groups came off the course complaining about a 3 some that was holding up play.
We too were held up, at one point we waited 15 minutes for a twosome ahead of us. Once we finally got into a rhythm and could play it reminded me of Iraq. It was so busy and the fairways are so close to each other that balls were coming in from all directions! We were taking on enemy fire! It was an all out free for all!
The golf carts are gps equipped and they think it's funny to let drive 25 yards into a out of bounds area then come to a complete stop and force you to reverse out.
Overall 50 bucks is way overpriced for having to duck golf balls every 5 minutes and get stuck in a over regulated cart.
Go play any of the other courses in...
