I usually love thrift stores, and I was initially excited when Neven's opened up in Mt. Pleasant. But I have been very disappointed with my experience there. One of my biggest complaints is the big dogs that roam the store and often greet you when you enter the store and wander around as you shop. Maybe this doesn't bother others, but it is the main reason I do not shop this thrift store. I do not like having dog drool and wet nose residue on my hands or clothes, which has happened when I have dared to come in the past. When they first opened I brought my young daughter who is afraid of dogs. Needless to say, having a big dog come nose to nose with my daughter was not a pleasant experience. Another reason I don't like shopping here is the clutter. Donation bags are often piled by the entrance, and one time I had a hard time finding a pathway just to get to the items I wanted to see. Another thing I don't like is the way the employees yell at each other or discuss personal matters loudly in the presence of their customers. I wish this was a more customer-friendly business, because if they were, I would definitely be one of their...

I walked In the front door there were about 10 big garbage bags right in the doorway, the lights were out, and then I saw a couch that looked like someone had been sleeping there so it almost gave the appearance of like the storage room. I announced myself as well as called out for someone to see if anyone was there. I peaked my head around the corners but I couldnāt find anyone so I just left. It just gave off a very eerie vibe. The fact no lights were on was very off putting. I attempted to call the phone number listed and it is out of service. I wanted it to be worth the two hour drive.
In response, unfortunately for you I have it all recorded. Lol also, how would I know the state of the inside if I hadnāt gone in?
Again, unfortunately for you lying will get you know where. You changed your location to temporarily closed after my post. I can see the date and time. Also, just stop. The reviews for this place are disgusting and embarrassing for you. You are making it more apparent why you are going out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI haven't been in the store around a year and a half it has changed so much that it's awesome!!! I had to go in just to get around 10 books for my mom and ended up buying more than planned. I was like a fat kid in a candy store and didn't know where to start at. I found DVDs I have been trying to look for everywhere, old classics movies on DVD which is also really hard to find, a excellent selection of books all different types and a whole bunch more. Loved the dogs really really friendly and the dogs don't mind if you give them a pet or two. Love the store to death the staff is friendly and willing to help out on prices or if you have a question. I hardly give reviews on a store online but I had to for Neven's Thrift store because there's so many hidden treasures in there just waiting to be found. I am going to be going back quite a bit more than just maybe...
