This warerfall is much larger in person than you would think by looking at the pictures and videos. I can't wait to visit after a lot of rain. The hike wasn't long at all. Coming back uphill could be a challenge for some but just take your time. There are a lot of little side trails so at times it was confusing because the trails are not clearly marked except at junctions. Also the entry could use a lot of work. There is an offshoot that heads to an overlook, and the end of the main route takes you to the bottom. The trails and parking are all well maintained, and some steeper areas have stairs set up. Read moreTook my wife, kids, dog, and mother in-law here. Loved every second! It wasn't too much of a hike for the kids and beautiful all a long the trail. The falls area was so much fun to play in, the kids splashed and played in the water and under the falls, the dog loved the water too. Lots of natural beauty around from the trees, flowers, and vines. It was perfect in the middle of the heat of the day to cool off and stay in the shade and cool water. A perfect place for a picnic or to just chill out for a bit. I definitely will be coming here again next time I'm in Lawrence...
