I will try to give this review again, the last one I started to write suddenly disappeared from phone…but this dealership was so good I am willing to try again to tell others about my purchase experience. I worked for several years at a Toyota dealership in North Texas, I began as a salesman and a few months later earned the position of Manager of Customer Relations. No matter how hard I tried I could never make our General Manager or any of the finance people understand that honesty is what people need to see, especially when they are making such a large decision about buying a car. Apparently dealerships have evolved over the past 25 years!
This is one main reason why I was so pleased and surprised by all the people I met at Toliver Buick…professionals that were completely honest and no high pressure tactics! We began contact by internet with our sales profesional , Tanner! He answered immediately all of our questions and won our confidence; enough for us to drive from our Houston home to the dealership in Mount Pleasant TX. The car we were interested in was waiting for us to test-drive, exterior and interior appeared to be perfect! Loved the drive which included the opportunity to go on 65 mph roads and give it a good test of all gears AWD and Front Drive. Comfort for our retirement years was our first thoughts and we were very satisfied. We agreed to the dealerships purchase price and we were in for another pleasant surprise…the finance person did not try to play any tricks! Again, another honest person! The exact price we had agreed on was all we were offered! This NEVER happened at the dealership I had worked for back in 1995.
I would recommend Chandler Currey to anyone! He is the perfect mix of professional and friendly.
After we drove away I had another question regarding the new electronic system that came with the Encore GX. I could not get a signal for my phone to pair correctly. I returned, and since it was lunch time Tanner had left after we assured him we were very ready to go back home. So now, another salesman, not at all connected with a commission from our sale, immediately came out to help us solve our problem. Again, when Jeff came out to help us, I was very impressed since salespeople at the other dealership where I worked were only interested in helping when money was involved. This is another reason I would recommend TOLIVER BUICK, GMC, they work together as a team to help everyone that comes through...
Read moreI would like to share my story about the service department at Tolliver GMC in Mount Pleasant TX. i brought my Yukon in for an Engine Hot/ AC turn off fault code.To make a long story short i had to bring back the vehicle 4 total times to get it fixed. The last fix was what i troubleshot off you tube, which was the most inexpensive fix. 2 thermostats, a water pump, and idler arm i was at 2000 dollars and the problem still existed, My last trip i told them what the problem was, even thought they shot my original diagnosis down, at my first trip. The cost of the repair that fixed the truck was 275 dollars, my total expense was 2275.00. It was amazing that they are the experts in service, but the least troubleshooting and least expensive repair, that is found on youtube by the way, was not what they went to first. I was obvious to keep me coming back to get the most out of the situation. It was also documented that after the first repair afther the thermostat replacement, they left a clamp on the lower radiator hose that fell off and left my wife on the side of the road. A tow truck driver was nice enough to help my wife and fixed the clamp and filled the radiator with water so she could get home safely. At the last repair, i spoke with the leadership at the dealership explaining the situation and the whole story, He said that he would look into it. Well after they performed the repair, they charged me full price again. When i went back to talk with the manager. No one would look at me in the eye, even the employee that i had worked with this whole time to get this resolved. They at that point told me that he had gone to a funeral and would not be back the rest of the day. Funny that he left without talking to me again as i was in the waiting area the whole time. Just wanted you to be aware of this establishment and their business' practices. I will let you decide my situation. No customer service principles were applied at any time in the 4 visits. i am writing you this inform you before you decide to do business' with this dealership. I love GMC and will continue to believe in...
Read moreI completely understand why I see so many Toliver license plates on vehicles I pass on the road. We wanted a new GMC Canyon and Toliver was our first stop. A gentleman welcomed my wife and I to Toliver, showed me the vehicles and features and answered all our questions. They had exactly what we were looking for in several color choices and when I told our salesman we were going to two other dealerships, he gave me his card and thanked us for stopping by. He didn’t try to keep us there and pressure us to make a decision. We drove away very impressed. We did go to two other dealerships and it was a complete waste of time. One dealership tried to sell us a $3100 paint protection the very moment we sat down to look at a vehicle. We drove straight back to Toliver, negotiated a great deal and proudly left with the GMC Canyon that was perfect for us. I cannot emphasize enough how positive the purchase experience was. I’m almost 50 years old and I have never been treated as well as I was treated at Toliver. Toliver did not ask me to write this review, this is completely on my own. And don’t just take my word for it, go ahead and waste your time and gas going to the other dealers, you will leave angry and insulted and will be right back where you started...
