I thought this was a fun throwback experience as I don’t think I have ever been to a drive-in movie theater. I think the picture quality was good, sound was through our car radio, was glad to see refreshments and bathrooms but did not use either. My wife mentioned there was one stall and she ended up not using it due to the line. We went for Twisters and I guess they were not prepared for a sell out crowd as it took an hour to get into the theater (sitting in traffic) and they almost started the movie without us even though I bought a ticket online earlier that day. There was only 1 person at 1 ticket booth and it was not efficient (guessing the pay per person logistics didn’t help, maybe just charge per car?). Upon entering, it was already dark and it was very difficult to find a place to park, there weren’t good markers/lighting of rows/spots or anyone directing traffic (which should be highly considered). Overall it was fun, but was challenging and I doubt we will return anytime soon. I understand it’s an old mom and pop operation but could really use some improvements to the check-in/ticketing process, restrooms, and parking coordination and possibly low lighting or something...
Read moreI have been to this drive in twice now, the first time was an okay experience for a rural drive in. The second time we went was a very busy weekend, there was no sort of order or organization, vehicles parked wherever or however they wanted to, no one was directed. It caused a lot of uncomfortable arguments between adults that escalated quickly and scared my children. Now the bees.... There was a really bad bee situation inside the concession stand in which many adults and children were stung, the concession stand did not close during the events, and I did not witness any staff members even communicate with those stung by the bees, I was personally present multiple times that evening and witnessed it for approximately 15 minutes each visit to the concession stand. I would have appreciated more if the staff seemed concerned even just a bit, but I did not see any concerns... ( I wasn't present all night though, but enough time to witness an approach by staff) I'm not sure if I will visit again, the lack of concern for...
Read moreThis was our first time coming here as we were invited by friends of the family. We arrived to the 2-lane road and were within 0.2 miles of the drive in at 7:48 to see a movie at 8 that we got tickets for online earlier in the day. We didn't actually get to the ticket window until after 9ish for a movie that was only an hour and a half.
I know it wasn't the front desk person's fault but I feel they could have opened up the second lane to intake twice as fast with another employee. Also any instructions you'd give someone you can put on signage coming into the place so you don't have to tell each car the same instructions (and save even more time on intake).
All that said our family friends said they had NEVER seen it that bad before (the movie was Hocus Pocus, so an October favorite). Still I just felt that if the line is going to be that bad they either need some speed enhancements listed above or they need to tell people to start arriving...
