Peel Ferry — Local services in Mountain Home

This was the first time our group rode the ferry. We came down the hill and quickly realized we might have made a wrong turn. We saw the ferry coming towards us and where very relieved. The ferry workers where very professional and a great group of guys. They where able to fit all of our motorcycles on the ferry and gave us a history lesson of the area. When we arrived on the other side, one of our bikes wouldn't start. They quickly came to our rescue and got the bike started. What a great group of guys with a very unusual job. I want to thank them for showing a group of bikers from Iowa how friendly and helpful the people of the area can be. I hope you enjoyed the pizza's we send you the next day. You deserved it. Would give TEN STARS if I could. This experience was every little girl's dream and I'm 64!! That ferry just glided over that beautiful lake and the two men running the operation was as sweet and kind as imaginable. Leaving the Arkansas Side to the Missouri, my friend and I drove off the ferry right into a park and enjoyed our picnic then within the 40- minute turnaround, drove right back on and got back off and continued on our way home from church. My husband and I are the founders of ford mustang enthusiast group out of Branson Mo. One of our admins told us about the ferry and organized a cruise from Branson to the ferry. There were 16 cars in our group and we were able to get everyone across in 2 trips. There were a few other riders or it may have only taken one trip.
