Mom’s fridge died. We looked at appliances online at local Big Box stores. No. We drove over to Shay’s and spoke with Brendan, the owner, who was friendly, knowledgable, and nice. I showed him from my iPad what we wanted and he took us right to one (a much better brand). The price was great and he did what the Big Box store wouldn’t have even considered. He took care of the delivery and removal of her old, huge fridge. So we got exactly what we wanted. It was a friendly transaction (can I say fun?). And we were well cared for. The delivery guys struggled with the dinosaur fridge but were exceptionally nice. I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else for appliances. Shay’s is IT. Carol McMaster Mountain Home, AR

My husband and I needed two stoves; one electric and one gas to be converted to propane. From the time we walked in on the 16th until they delivered the appliances on the 20th, the staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy what they did. We were thrilled that Shays converted the gas stove to propane. There was a fee, but it was worth it to us. The delivery men knew what they were doing and were very careful not only with the new appliances but also with our personal spaces. We would definitely recommend Shays Appliance.

Great service from buying to delivery. I've bought fridges, washers, and dryers here over the last 10 years, and haven't ever been disappointed. Justin and Cody came out to deliver a washer and they were polite, fast, and professional. They even leveled out a wobble in my dryer while they were here. Much appreciated! That kind of service doesn't happen at a big box place. Thanks!

Two stars for the rental properties. Rented from them, place needed some work and obviously wasn't cleaned before we moved in. Took time and effort to get them to fix a couple things. Still didn't fix one of the issues we had spoken to them about.

People inside are friendly and helpful enough. One of the male workers though seems as if he is hassled when he starts talking to you.

Being nickeled and dimed with the deposit, a couple things made sense (wall had some paint torn off when removing an item and a couple things had to be hauled off) but we left the place very clean, and in better shape than when we moved in.

We rented a floor shampoo to take care of the carpet since we had cats. 90% of what we got out of the floor was dog hair. Long dog hair. When we moved in I pulled 2 sewing needles, and one fish hook out of my foot from previous tenants. The stove stop was cracked (still worked just fine) and some cabinet shelving was buckled.

We replaced the kitchen sink water hose/nozzle because it was leaking.

The washer water hookup spots were horrid, had to have them replaced but not before it caused water damage to the wall, which is probably being charged to us as well.

A lesson to be learned here. Take photos, video, and talk to the property owner before moving in to make sure you aren't stuck with problems before moving in.

If we are LUCKY, we will get 1/2 of our deposit back. SOme makes sense, (the items hauled off and the wall spot where paint was damaged) but the rest, not at all.

Very poor rental management.

As for the rest of the services they provide, 3 stars.

Worked for a company that had some of their products. For the most part things were taken care of but once again, at times it was like pulling teeth to get it taken care of. Some of it can naturally be held to them having other jobs they are tending too.

Just understand, this is mostly rating the rentals, some of their services (selling, display, etc) are just fine. Would move my review to appropriate place if...

I will never buy anything from them again. I will definitely never recommend them to anyone. I tried buying local, but learned my lesson. Next time I will just go to Lowe's. I would not even give them a star if I could. My refrigerator broke less than a year after purchase on Thanksgiving. I called them the next day. They had someone come out verified what they felt was wrong. I am still waiting to get the replacement in my house. They have horrible customer service. They continually put you off. You have to constantly call to follow up because even when they say they will call you back they don't. Perfect example today I was waiting for them to come and put the replacement in again, but afternoon still heard nothing from them so I called. Well no one is coming again. Was not even showing on the schedule. I did change a couple of the appointments because I didn't want anyone to have to come out in bad weather. I have told them multiple times to just give me a refund and we would be done. They said that they have not been authorized to do that. They couldn't fix my refrigerator so they had to give me a new one. That really doesn't do me any good when it is setting in my shop and not in the house where it should be. When they do set a time like last Saturday they said someone needed to be here by 9:30 that morning for them to bring the refrigerator. I had to work so my parents had to get out by 6:30 that morning to be here. Shays did not show up until I got home after noon that day. Then they hum hawed around finally got my old refrigerator out but said they would need to come back with another person to get the new one in. Don't buy from Shays if you can...

I was real happy with my experience at Shays. I've been recommended very highly by people I have a lot of confidence in and it was not disappointed. Their appliances are sturdy and made well. Often appliances have two grades, one that is sold in big box stores and a higher grade than sold in appliance stores. I found the refrigerator that I got from them to be good, solid, and I'm very happy with it. I was also very happy with the prices they were ever been as good as the two big box stores in town. I wasn't ready for my Appliance yet so they said to just let them know when I was and they would send it right out so as soon as I had the space ready, I called and they were out within a day or two. The delivery and set up was done quickly and efficiently with the option of either carrying off my old refrigerator or putting it elsewhere in the house which is what I opted for. From purchase to delivery I could not have asked for better and I also know something were to happen they service their own appliances and I can get a repair without going through 20 miles of rocky road and endless phone calls.
