An unstable male with a gun threatened to shoot our pup today; a baby Pointer Hound who was on leash but got away after I dropped it picking up something and he jogged towards another dog and wanted to play. Our pup stopped by voice command [his tail was wagging and he was not growling or barking] and was over twenty or more feet from the individual who then threatened multiple times; I can't breathe or write about it I saw him get shot the individual had his hand on his gun There needs to be more control at this rest area due to dangerous people stopping there Everyone that was there left and no one called 9-1-1 After talking to some individuals who own local businesses about it we were educated that shooting dogs is not uncommon in the area, and that law enforcement is part of the problem; the individual at the sheriff's office said he threatens to shoot dogs all the time; aggressive or not.
