Munford Food Mart — Local services in Munford

Munford Food Mart on Hwy 21! This is a horrible place. I’m sure that if you live in the area, you’ve probably been to this store. Well, my husband and I won’t be going there anymore. I’m proud of my hubby for speaking up for the kid that was denied access to buy a loaf of bread! How thoughtless could a store owner be! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

It is ridicules that you would tell a kid that he could not enter your store because he had a little mud on the bottom of his shoe. This is a disgrace because YOU get paid to keep your store clean. Every time someone purchases anything in your store, YOU GET PAID. This is not a store that the community should patronage. If it is an insult to remind you that everyone that comes into your store pays you and I’m sure that your mark up is more than 20%, then you should definitely close your doors. Also, it just rained outside and you are discriminating due to mud in the bottom of a kids shoes. I’m sure that he had to walk to the store. Again, if you are nut in business to SERVE the community, because you are only there to make money off of them, then I urge you to close your doors. This place will keep placing stickers over expired meat in an attempt to sell it. I bought some discounted chicken and after I got it home and was trying to repackage it to freeze, I noticed a horrible smell and also noticed some of the pieces were starting to even turn green. After further inspection I saw that the dates had been changed at least twice. I do not recommend this place. You can see in my photos that one pack of chicken was over 20 days past the sell-by date. The original sell-by date was October 1st, changed to October 21st, then changed again to October 24th. All of the chicken was OLD. My family & I came into this store early yesterday morning & was greeted by such a sweet & kind young lady. I was impressed to see that it was more than a convenience store, it was a full blown store! I seen some of the cutest things in there that really isn’t sold in Ga & I also noticed how clean & organized everything was. Checkout was such a breeze as the young lady was quick, kind, & carried such great conversations with all of us. Her hospitality was top notch & made me wish that this store was closer to home as I would love to come back here & shop. The next camping trip my family & I goes on at Talladega National Park, we will definitely make sure to stop by...
