I'll post my review in a sec, first I want to say its so silly that people complain about the prices of concession or that they charge $8 if you want to bring in your own food. Um... you do realize theaters only stay open BECAUSE of concession right? Ticket sales do not keep them in business and neither would normal priced concession.
As for charging you $8 for your own food, be thankful! At least you can bring your own food. You can't whine about concession and then also whine about having to pay for your own food. Because when you bring in your own food it means THEY lose out on money you would have spent on their concession. $8 is a great price considering it covers everyone in the car. They could charge PER person if they really wanted to. Be thankful.
All that aside I love this drive in. Went to it a few times in the 90s when I was younger. Just went today to see Incredibles 2 and Avengers. Had no issues at all. People were friendly, staff was nice...etc. And now they make trucks/vans park a few rows back so those with regular cars can have a good seat without being blocked.
It was only $28 for us to get in (including the $8 food fee for bringing in your won food). There were 4 of us. So $28 is still cheaper then going to a regular theater where the tickets alone would...
Read moreif you want to go to a drive-in and the below things said dont phase you then this is a great drive-in to go to.
Drive- in atmosphere is there and minus COVID it has new movies BUT and I'm not sure what the fix is, the mounds where you park are at ground level which I've always experienced a bigger car blocking our view and it's not like you can just move to a new seat/ spot. If the rows could be built up as though you were in theater seating then you would have an awesome set up (I know wishful thinking). Again I wish I could suggest the right solution and I would hate to see the drive-in close, I just cant bring myself to pay money for an experience where my view is usually blocked or I have to sit in a uncomfortable way to view the movie. As a kid it never phased me , and perhaps that is part of the experience or my age has caught up with reality...sorry just wont be attending the drive- in any longer unless there's a solution to how to view movies better there.
I usually go about 2 to 3 times each year thinking maybe if I go early enough (I cant park in front row) or maybe if I sit outside (that's a different challenge in itself) or blah blah blah ..but no luck on trying to figure things out, it's just time to buy my own outdoor projector and make my own...
Read moreI have spent $70 at this place and seen no one movie past 30 mins. It is not made clear enough on their website that you have to bring your own radio to hear the movie enough to captivate you. If you use your car you're going to have to turn it on and off so that your battery doesn't die especially on a double feature. They charge you $10 if you're bringing your own food in which is understandable. When I was a kid the the drive-ins had wired speakers and everybody could hear the movies great. Bring an FM radio and not hearing your movie in proper stereo sucks. The first time I went up there the lady only refunded me $5 of my 35$ in the movie hadn't even started she acted like she was doing me a favor. And since they don't take debit cards I had to turn around and get cash real quick then come back, then hooked up my FM radio which kept having a delay with the audio, the movie was unwatchable I didn't even ask to get my money back. I would be speculating to say that the reason for not using wired speakers is because the cost to maintain them. But that doesn't matter cuz I will not be returning. This is only the third or fourth bad review I've ever written I'm not a negative person it's just ridiculous that I spent $65 on movies and didn't...
