Food Lion — Local services in Murfreesboro

I am disappointed with the management team (particularly one manager). Proper training is needed for her/them so she/they will know what to do when they hire a minor. My daughter was so happy to finally get a job and the manager has been giving her the run around from day one. She placed her on the register with one day of training and then made her do it by herself without computer training the very next day. When my daughter ask for assistance with some of the transactions, coworkers respond by saying, didn’t I show you yesterday (Smh). Then she extends her shift without proper warning and then tell her I don’t have a place for you yet on the schedule. I will call you when I do. My advice to any parent who is encouraging their minor to work, don’t waste your time with food lion in Murfreesboro. The main manager is unprofessional and unlearned!!! I come here all the time. This one occasion, the cashier rang up my merchandise wrong. I said “I will pay this amount cash, and the rest on credit card.” I guess she didn’t know what that meant. So said cashier went and got help. Said associate’s came over and tried to get me to pay another way. If I’m not understanding what you’re doing, then I’m not giving you my money. So, I told them to keep the merchandise and I walked out. Long story short....cashiers fault. Mistakes happen, but the one associate (that “helped”) had a nasty mouth. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because I do like that they've renovated and have more selections of things. However, they are overpriced because they're the only game in town. They never have enough registers open, for the busiest times especially. Most cashiers dont even acknowledge you. Not even a hello... I find that so rude. Also, they could care less about rounding up the carts outside on a regular basis. This is why I do my big food shopping 45 minutes away at Kroger now. They have better sales, double coupons to a dollar and people are on the ball and friendly. Food Lion management should go there to learn a few things...
