I'm not sure what I was expecting but this surpassed it 100%! There are no good Chinese places in lockhart. And I live closer to mustang ridge anyway. right down the road is this food truck which is amazing! I don't have to treck into Austin now to go get Chinese food when I want good food. I can just go right down the road. it's cheap, it's huge portions, it's very good food , the service is outstanding, you can order online... there's not a single thing I can find wrong with this!! This place is so good that I told people about it. HOWEVER, we got it on 07/17/2025, and I'm not sure if there are new chefs or what happened, but our meal was not good. This is the first and only experience like this, but had that been my first, I would have given it a 1 star and never returned. The chicken was that soft breaded and spongey taste that I try to avoid when eating chinese food. Last century it seemed you could find good Chinese food on almost every corner. Not the same this century. So, came as a very pleasant surprise discovering Brother's Friday. Honey walnut shrimp was very good and the hibachi shrimp was fantastic. Hibachi fried rice has that light smokiness to it, that, at least for me, makes it a slight addiction.
