Course conditions were great. Always fun to see green grass in January being from Charlotte. Lakes/waterway layout was fun and typical of Myrtle beach courses. Beautiful view of the intercostal on the waterway 9. Facilities and pro shop also decent.
They lose stars because of the service. My wife asked for water in her bottle at the turn and the bartender took it and begrudgingly walked all the way around the bar to a water fountain, and filled it. Then made a snarky comment to a regular. Why not just direct someone towards the fountain if itβs that big of an inconvenience? Or put water on the soda gun. Not a huge issue and could be overlooked. We played in under four hours - and that was including the time we were waiting on the group we caught up to on the back nine. We stopped at the restrooms before unloading when we finished. When we arrived to the bag drop, the cart attendants were straight chillin - nobody else around - and didnβt say a word to us or offer to clean our clubs or take them off. The couple behind us pulled up a few mins behind us and the cart guy was so excited to help them unload and ask βa little slow on the back today?!β It really seemed he was implying we were slow - and it rubbed us the wrong way, considering we finished in under 4 hours and were waiting on the group in front of us the whole back 9. It left such a bad taste in our mouth.
If you value service, play elsewhere. We...
Β Β Β Read moreI recently had the pleasure of playing 18 holes at Arrowhead Country Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and I can confidently say it was one of the best golf experiences Iβve had in a long time. From the moment I arrived, everything was top-notchβimmaculate course conditions, a friendly and accommodating staff, and a layout that is both challenging and rewarding.
The Raymond Floyd-designed course is a true gem, with three distinct nine-hole layouts (Waterway, Cypress, and Lakes) that provide variety and stunning scenery. The fairways were lush, the greens rolled true, and the bunkers were well-maintainedβevery detail showed the pride and care put into this course. The views of the Intracoastal Waterway added a scenic touch that made the round even more enjoyable.
Pace of play was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our group had a seamless experience. Whether youβre a scratch golfer or a weekend warrior, Arrowhead offers a challenge while still being incredibly playable.
If youβre in Myrtle Beach and looking for a pristine course with fantastic amenities, Arrowhead Country Club should be at the top of your list. I canβt wait to get back out there for...
Β Β Β Read morePlayed 18 holes in July 2020. The course is not bad but the staff is not very customer friendly. For early tee time, the staff was talking loudly near the bag drop off and using foul language. I could see a father with two teenage boys. No smiles or friendly attitude. It's as if they are doing the guests a favor by letting them play the course. Upon finishing, the parking lot is right next to the cart return area, but they don't let you take the cart to your car so you can put away your clubs. They waved us to bring the cart in a very rude manner, as if we would drive away with their precious carts. I played other nearby courses, and the staff at Prestwick is so much friendlier and professional. The overall experience would be so much better if the staff was taught some manners and...
