I haven't had the opportunity to step into an Aldi store for 3-4 years. I was actually excited, to find out that there was one, 1.5 miles away from where I was staying in Plainfield. It was a beautiful day, so I decided to go on a walk. Once there, I noticed there was several clean carts available, after I picked one, I then proceeded through the front door. The store only opened it's doors a little over a year prior. It was well stocked, clean and organized. The wind of the fresh cold air met my sweaty head and face. So refreshing and nice to feel that after that scroll. As I walked in, Aldi employees were warm welcoming, helpful and very friendly. I understand, that the selection of produce, can be at times questionable. As in this case, it was the bananas. Most looked as though they should have been discarded 4 days prior. Most of them had many dark spots on them and the others were very soft to the touch. I did end up with the best bundle that I could find and knew they needed to be consumed very quick. Check out went faster than I expected. There was a customer already paying before me. And as I was trying to unload my cart onto the conveyor belt, I was trying to be quicker or even keep pace with the cashier. She was polite and asked, how my day was going and if I found everything I was looking for. I haven't been in an Aldi store for over 3 years and I was surprised to see, that there was a few Express Self-Checkout lanes in there now. Other than that the cost of some items went up, (to be expected) the stores haven't changed much since I remember them last. Which is very convenient, since I remembered where everything was. It hasn't changed a bit. Luckily, a family member came to pick me up and the now CART FILLED FULL OF GROCERIES. I always have to laugh, at the different merchandise for sale, in the middle of the store. Overall, it was a fun and pleasant experience, shopping there again. I just know, there was something else, I forgot to get. I must go back! Thank you to the Aldi staff. Will...
Read moreThey had some stuff in the midst of all the confusion. I hope that during this time people will see their need for God. Not only in Him providing for us and protecting us from illness but in our need for a savior. Have you ever hear and responded to the gospel of Jesus? Please read this. THE PROBLEM God is all wise, all-powerful, all loving, and morally perfect (holy). He created humans to live in endless joy with Him, but we rejected Him for the pleasures of sin. Our sin has caused a separation between us and God. it’s because of our sin that we die physically, and after that, are judged eternally to a terrible place called Hell.
THE SOLUTION God loves us so much that He doesn’t want us to be separated from Himself any longer or face condemnation. So, He personally came to earth in Jesus Christ to live the perfect life we could never live, and receive our condemnation through dying on the cross. After three days, He rose from the dead, proving His sacrifice was sufficient and that He offers life beyond the grave.
YOUR RESPONSE Everyone who turns from their sins and surrenders their life to Jesus in faith will receive forgiveness and a new life now and for all eternity in Heaven. Have you surrendered your life to Jesus?
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit“...
