I visited Weavers Furniture in August of 2021 and in addition to taking one piece home with me I ordered 5 pieces of furniture. One of which was a custom kitchen island. After signing a contract for the island and putting money down on the product I was informed ( weeks later) that they had misquoted the island by $1600.00 and was ask to pay more money. Additionally, what was suppose to be a 24 week delivery turned into a 32 week delivery for 4 of the 5 pieces and one of the pieces (still not received) will be a year. Instead of notifying me when they knew the projected date was no where near accurate, they just told me 32 weeks into a 24 week delivery it would be a year and was expected to be okay with that with no adverse reaction. To add to my disappointment freight was way more than expected and due to price increases for gas over the extended delay in delivery I was required to pay todays prices and charged sales tax on the service of delivery which is illegal in Missouri where I live. I do not question the quality and craftsmanship of the furniture it is amazing. WITHOUT QUESTION. I hope my last piece of furniture does indeed eventually find it''s way to St. Louis. It's paid for in full. However, I would never consider purchasing from this company again their products may be exceptional but their customer service has much to be desired.
After my original post stating an unpleasant experience with Weavers I did receive my couch in July. The same very pleasant young man delivered it. While he was here he took a picture of my island purchased from Weavers to show management where the paint is defective in a drawer in a non traffic area of the piece. I waited about a week and phoned The delivery person to inquire if he had shown those to management and he said he had and that they told him they would contact me. 6 weeks later I have heard nothing from the management at Weavers and the paint continues to wear off the cooking island. They never even responded. I guess they don’t care about the guarantee that so proudly promise. Read moreVery disappointing experience. We ordered a table and 8 chairs on 9/5/20, expecting delivery in 8-14 weeks. We paid 50% of the total at that time and were told the rest of the payment would be due at delivery. We were finally contacted in mid-December and were told our order was ready for delivery. We paid the remaining amount over the phone and delivery was scheduled for 12/21/20. We were disappointed when they only delivered the table and four chairs, leaving us without four additional chairs that we had already paid for. Weaver took our entire payment without telling us that we weren't receiving our entire order. We have had to call multiple times, only to be told by Susan that she would "look into it" and get back with us, but she's only called once with a vague update telling us the chairs still have not arrived. Weaver Furniture has had our entire payment since December, yet we are still waiting for an update and the delivery of our complete order. We are constantly told "it should be a few more weeks" every time we call Susan to inquire about the order. The partial order we received is beautiful, but we are very disappointed that after 5 months we still do not have what we paid for. Through text and email I was able to work with staff to select fabric and stains, Returning for a visit to Northern Indiana, I picked up all the pieces in my open bed pickup truck.The pieces were already securely wrapped for protection and for the rain predicted for the entire trip home. Everything arrived dry without damage. I have worked and purchased a significant number of special orders of custom constructed mission furniture. The quality is superb. Hence, If I can find additional space in my apartment, I will order additional pieces of custom-made cherry and quarter sawn oak mission furniture from Weaver...
