Update 10/15/2025 I took the vehicle to Magic Auto Repair in Springfield. They went under the Jeep and took pictures of the welding job from Hiway 12 Motorsports, they the charged me for and the welding job was bad, plus they welded a bolt rather then hanger and that bolt was going into the transfer case! For the same price that Hiway 12 charged me for that terrible job- Magic put all new pipes on and welded them…after Magic got the Cats off- they discovered they willers both riddled with holes. I have to replace both Cats. Hiway 12 had no excuse to sale a vehicle that wasn’t drivable. They took the engine and clutch out and replaced them! They were under and inside that vehicle enough to make some temporary repairs on top of the engine and clutch to sale it (IMO). This vehicle has been a nightmare and for them to respond they did not know when I had called before about it and then I gave them a second chance to be charged for a bad welding job that had to be redone! I hope they are accountable somehow.
10/11/25 Update- they blew me off. Sold me a POS and then refuse to work with me to get it fixed.
9/30/25 Update: the Jeep was riddled with exhaust leaks. They “split” the labor with me to “fix” it. I still paid more money and still have a check engine light on. They said the check engine light is due to the passenger side catalytic converter. They were supposed to call me back with the estimate to repair the problem they sold it to me with that has no cost me over $2k to “fix” on top of it getting the death wobble within weeks of purchase. They have NOT called me back yet. I checked in last week, I was told they “forgot “ and I would get a call back this past week…it is Sunday and they are closed…so once again that isn’t happening. This Jeep has now cost me $22000 and is still not running properly. I haven’t even been able to get the mods I wanted bc I am spending all my money on keeping it running. Their solution was to charge me half the labor to weld the exhaust leaks. He asked if I would fix the 1 star review…I told him if they fix the issues. They sold a POS and they are now playing games and want to wash their hands of it and have the audacity to ask me to retract my review. They sold the vehicle with a bunch of exhaust leaks. They put no parts in it- it was labor and they “split the labor” with me to play me. I am not changing this review unless they do something meaningful to solve this issue.
3/1/25*I purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler from here in October 2024. They told me the motor, clutch and components were new. I failed to ask for the receipts bc I thought they were honest. I paid a little over KBB because I thought I would not have to sink a bunch of money into it. Well, by December the catalytic converter was shot, then January all the wiring harnesses were shot then March rolls around and I go to turn the AC on, it blows hot air and then I am driving to work and all the dash lights are blinking. I go to find a mechanic and find out it is the Power Control Module and numerous other issues. Then in June the steering is all over, I had to replace the drive train, the bearings, ball joints…I am into the Jeep nearly $25k and there are still issues. They replaced the engine and clutch, they were in the vehicle and they should have been honest or charged me for the actual condition of the vehicle. I will not be able to recomend them ever. I am...
Read moreBuyer please beware. Take your business elsewhere ❤️ The dissatisfaction and concern regarding a vehicle we purchased just recently, which has turned out to be a complete lemon. We bought the car for my son, expecting it to be in reasonable working condition. However, just two days after purchase, the engine failed completely due to lack of oil. After paying for that major repair and getting the car back, we immediately encountered another issue: the clutch failed, going straight to the floor — making the vehicle undriveable once again. This kind of mechanical failure within such a short period is unacceptable and raises serious questions about the condition of the vehicle at the time of sale. It’s clear that this car was either not inspected properly or sold with known issues that were not disclosed. By the time all necessary repairs are done, we will have paid far more than what the car is worth — possibly more than the cost of a new vehicle. It’s extremely disappointing and financially devastating, especially considering this was meant to be a reliable first car for our son. I urge you to take responsibility for the condition of the vehicles you sell and to stop passing on unsafe or broken cars to unsuspecting buyers. No one should have to go through this kind of stress and expense immediately...
Read moreWent in today to test drive & inspect a VW Eos. Beautiful location, decent selection; HORRIBLE experience all-around, definite waste of our time. Sales guy & receptionist seemed more interested in their next smoke break than helping us find/purchase a vehicle.
They didn’t offer any vehicle history, other than to say, “No wrecks as far as I know”. Asked if we could see the car fax or auto check, he tells us, we don’t do those, too expensive”.
Asked if we could take it to our mechanic. They tell us that’s against company policy. They did say my mechanic could come by, take a look, even use they’re lift. Unfortunately, there is no qualified mechanic within 100 miles that would come out to do a mobile inspection on this vehicle. It’s a VW EOS, and if there’s an issue with the hard top, could be $10,000+ to fix, if there’s an issue with DSG, could be $4-6k. On top of that, the car is already overpriced. We were planning to have Eurofix or dealership inspect, then make an offer...we aren’t going to trust Bubba Shade-Tree with a vehicle like this.
Place might be great for some types, but if you’re wanting a good buying experience and confidence in a quality used vehicle, you can scratch this one...
