Chef Tyger is unbelievable! I had Chef come to one of the domes at bolt farm treehouse for an anniversary/early Christmas present for my husband and I cannot express how amazing our experience with him was. He arrived early (only after checking to see if that was okay) told us to relax and he’d have the first course out shortly and within 15 minutes we were sampling one of his specialties, French curry chicken wings, and oh my goodness they were incredible. The French curry was something I’d never had and Chef’s explanation of the process of preparing them made you want to try it yourself. He’s so passionate which is such a rare thing to see these days and was very refreshing. For our main course he made Ribeyes cooked with a pink layer throughout the entire steak. We’ve had many cuts of meat at many different famous steak restaurants and his surpassed all of them. Sides of mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts that literally melted in our mouths. And for dessert his specialty: lavender crème brûlée. I wish a short review could fully envelop the experience we had with Chef Tyger, but it’s simply not possible. We did something unique to celebrate 15 years of marriage & it was truly the sweetest. Our own personal meal served up by Chef Tyger, owner of the Wandering Chef.

Such an extraordinary experience… the fondue, the Caesar dressing, the filets, mashed potatoes, green beans, and Crème Brûlée. Everything was seasoned perfectly! He even let me use his electric pepper grinder b/c I was so fascinated. 😆 It was truly the best experience right in the comfort of our own home.

What we loved MOST: Chef Tyger has a servants heart! He honestly just cares about people & loves serving others from a genuinely pure heart. The interaction during the dinner was so pleasant & natural. We did a 4 course meal & COULD not pick our fave course - it was all so perfect ! He delivered the food cooked to perfection AND left the kitchen spotless!

Wife and I drove to Whitwell from Ohio. It was a solid 9 hours and we were exhausted and hungry. While we waited for our scheduled 7:30 arrival of the Wandering Chef, we wondered if we had made a mistake and should have just picked up something to eat on our way in. I mean we are like an old couple that likes to be in bed, out cold at 9pm. We forged forward and Tyler showed up on time and was full of positive energy. He worked in the tiniest of spaces and was very respectful of our small accommodations. Tyler prepped quickly and had appetizers out as to not delay our long awaited (long because we scheduled for 7:30, not because of his service). We started with the charcuterie, then off to the crab cakes (wonderfully seasoned), the wedge salad (delicious) and the short ribs (cut them with a fork).
