We really enjoyed seeing Fort Falls! It's a nice little hike to the falls, might not be a bad idea to wear bug spray. The falls are just beautiful & then we hiked a little further down to the niobrara river. Who knew anything like this existed in NE! The walk back to the car is all uphill. This is definitely a must-see. After the falls we drove around the sanctuary to check out the wildlife. We saw bison & prairie dogs. The walk is peaceful and most of it is shaded in summer. One thing to note is that you have to take steps down to the falls, and they are not paws friendly for your fur babies.
