Love love love this place! I have been going here since I was a little girl. Pretty much every weekend in the summer my dad would take me,my mom, brother and 2 sisters for a Sunday drive and we would always stop here! He would always say if we were good and no fighting this would be our treat, except I think it was more his treat because he loves his ice cream and would eat his and everyone else’s that couldn’t finish theirs! Lol. I still go there every summer but now with my kids and whoever else is important to me. It’s like my special place to take people. They have AWESOME ICE CREAM (my fave is still Blueberry cheesecake) and they sell tons of different cheeses and meats and even have a cool wine cellar and a neat little indoor area to sit down and have wine and food. They have a cool little outdoor garden type area to sit outside and enjoy the scenery/talk to new people/eat or drink and sometimes listen to music. They have two long benches in the front to sit and eat your ice cream as you watch all the bikes come and go. They also have a nice selection in another area that’s fast where u can order a pizza or subs. This place is just a cool little fun stop if you are out on a Sunday drive with your family or on a motorcycle drive. You wont be disappointed and I guarantee you will be surprised at how many different things they offer. Their workers are always friendly and go above expectations. They didn’t have my FAVE ice cream and offered to go in the back and see if they had a container with any left over from the previous day. Which they did and gave me as much as I wanted to take home. I love this place. And I hope my kids will be able to take their kids someday too! Ps. The building is pretty cool too! Used to be an old creamery. Worth a drive to check this place out. It may just become one of your fave places to make...

One of my favorite places, an unexpected gem on the beautiful Great River Road Scenic Drive. A must-stop whenever I am in the area. Seating choices include tall wooden booths among the original stone walls of the west side, with exposed beams and tall multi-paned windows. Or choose the sophisticated wine room with fireplace and arched windows facing the river to the south, or step outside to enjoy the secluded patio hemmed in by hedges, ivy-covered brick, magnolia and willow. Guests can often find a number of friendly cats here. The market in the center features hand cut blocks of 15yr old cheddar next to packages of fresh squeaky cheese curds, a wide assortment of hard to find imported cheeses next to local or unusual cheese you may not find anywhere else. Of course there are countless crackers, jars of preserves, and pickled vegetables to complete your cheese plate, along with an additional room of wine and beer for every taste. In the middle of it all you can find an energetic crew serving up hand-scooped ice cream cones, excellent deli sandwiches and soups, and thin crust...

Bought 2 sandwiches ..a Philly cheese steak n old fashion roast beef sandwich..when I got home i had my Philly cheese steak but the roast beef turned out 2 b a smoked turkey sandwich..my husband called the lady that answered phone asked my husband if he ordered wrong ..no cuz my husband doesn't eat turkey so he sure wouldn't have ordered it..i heard him order the roast beef!!!! She then asked if he had taken the wrong sandwich ...and how is that ??? When the employee put it in the bag ....the lady should have wanted to listen to the customer since it was our money paying for it so the conversation ended!!!! It was our first time there ...and thought it would have been a great place to try ....not so ...but won't be going there ..off our list....been seeing Nelson cheese there for many years wanted to check it out for the longest time...borned n raised in Eau Claire ....sad to say our experience was not...

This is always a great place to stop if you’re nearby. The amazing assortment of cheese, meats, wine, another delectables is eye popping. They also have sandwiches and ice cream. The sandwiches are top notch, I highly recommend the French roll, as a super fresh and they use the best meats and cheeses for these. I can’t go wrong with the variety of cheeses, they even have 12 year-old aged, sharp treader. The cheese curds are a staple everyone should get. They have a very nice private patio area in the back. Great for a place to rest and eat your sandwich or ice cream. Nice privacy with some beautiful scenery. Bottom of mine is I have something for everyone’s taste. They also have a very nice wine tasting area if you’re into that.
