Disappointing Customer Service! I tried to place an order for a smoked turkey in order to have it shipped the following week to be close to Thanksgiving. However, after calling them and talking to a person that said she would let the shipping manager know not to ship till the following week. And, placing those instructions in the message area of the online order as directed by the person I talked to on the phone, they actually shipped the next day. I called them to find out what happened and they said they were sorry but it had already shipped and couldn't do anything about it. We will not be doing business with these people again.

Thank you for your response and offer to call you back another time. I’ve changed the rating from one star to three stars because of your reply. In retrospect, if you had indicated to me you were sold out and had to ship immediately, I could have appreciated that. Instead I was told that you had no records of my message to your shipping department, as I was directed by the person on the phone to do, to let them know I would like it shipped the following week.

It is petty of me to be frustrated by the fact we have no room in our freezer. However, our daughter has made room in theirs for us to bring over when it is scheduled to be delivered today. I should be thankful we have a full freezer in these tough corona virus times. And, I should be thankful to be able to have a smoked turkey from my native Texas delivered to us this year. The turkey we ordered from Greenberg Turkey in Tyler, TX was canceled because of their unfortunate accident.

That may be why you are experiencing such high volumes for smoked turkeys? At any rate, our business will be concluded today when the turkey is scheduled to be delivered. And, I am thankful that we will have the opportunity to try your product. I’m confident it will be a delicious one for this Thanksgiving meal in a couple of weeks. The many other reviews about your products would indicate so.

Finally got to visit Bear Creek yesterday . There was a balloon festival and one of the pilots that I crew with invited me . This is a really nice place ! The store is something else , with all kinds of stuff . Kinda reminded me of an old country general store , only about 10x anything I'd seen before . The photos tell a better story . As much as the store - maybe more - is the property . There is enough there for just about anything you might want to do , including a balloon festival . There were a bunch of people there , bands , and sponsors/advertisers/vendors . If I can post all the photos that I took you can get a pretty good idea .

I have never been to Bear Creek . It is not from lack of desire , but because of the mess at I 20 and 59 . I was really unhappy to see that the wconstruction on the overpass is still going on . I went to the Great Texas Balloon Race in Longview last year and it was in process then . Now this year I see that it is still going on and seems not to have progressed at all . I know that you are not in charge of the work , but please do something . Form a group to light a fire under the contractors and get things done . Not only your business out of town would profit , but the whole city would get more out of town visitors if the mess at the overpass would...

Purchased a 1/2# plate and was given one single piece of brisket and 2 ribs from the end of a rack; an amount I double-taked at and waited before walking off to make sure I wasn't being pranked. The brisket was meh; tough, fatty, and nothing to write home about. The ribs were a slap in the face. Membrane still attached and grisly. Would have preferred another piece of tough brisket. Sausage wasn't even offered. I was given a large cookie sheet to eat from only to be given so little food that I could have made due with a cardboard bowl. We all laughed when we sat down and looked at each other's plates. The discrepancies were obvious: the server liked the ladies lol. We all purchased the same plate, but literally no rhyme or reason to the amounts we got except ladies faired better coming back with several slices more brisket.

For my first time there, I feel like it must have been an off day. Location is beautiful. The store is great ( wish the store was listed separately on Google for the reviews). I'll probably come back by if I'm near, but I won't be making a special...
