Mother Truckers — Local services in Nevada City

What a gem! I have lived in Downieville for over two years and never stopped here. We always fly by this place on our way to Briar Patch Co-op. Anyway, totally bonehead move we've made for two years straight. This adorable store even had a few items I'd never seen at Briar Patch!

Let's start with the customer service - everyone was super nice and friendly. The layout is adorable. The veggies were all organic, easy to grab everything, super fresh. My son was gawking over the variety and making fun of me for not coming sooner. We also enjoyed the grab and go items. My son loved hi burrito. Wines were organic. Good choice of frozen foods. Lots of frozen organic and free range/Grass fed meats.

You're in for a surprise. Such a packed store!!!

Mother Truckers, a great store. Excellent huge bunches of parsley today in the produce section. Feeling sick so was delighted to see locally marked/grown carrots & beets. Good prices. We're trying to avoid mass produce sticking more local since they can be recalled like cucumbers last month. Chatted with the produce lady, she said she'd check into Red Russian Kale. A nice person, I should've gotten her name. This kind of Kale has massive amounts of sulforaphane. She showed me the broccoli which looked wonderful, a deep green color and it's in season right now but I'm not a fan of broccoli. Yet after googling broccoli, it also has a good amount of sulforaphane too. It's always a great experience to go to that store. We drive all the way from Sierra City yet I was alone today. Someday we hope to move somewhat near...

Will have to give it a five star and never even went inside..... This place is flipping booming let me tell ya.....! Food deliveries, and customers all day long.. Next time I'm working up there im talking the time to go inside for a sneak peek on the action. Must have some good food up in there I'm thinking. Stop in and see for yourself.. Everyone up there seems to wave and smile... Love the mountains....👍 well after an encounter with I guess the ownership regarding dropping my transfer trailer roadside not in his parking lot....! Very unfriendly to construction workers improving there roads....! Tread carefully... And the store doesn't have much and wow....! ...
