Carson Valley Golf Course — Local services in Nevada

About 15 years ago I got my first ever, hole-in-one here at the Carson Valley Golf Course. It was on the 18th hole.

I was playing with family, perfect witnesses as they would be the biggest non-believers, and after we finished we went into the pro-shop. We told the staff and they treated us like we were lying. Just nothing, and no help from the guy there in the pro shop.

I play in a golf league in Vegas now and got my second hole-in-one just a few weeks ago, 26 Aug 2019 (179 yds). They were awesome. They have a plaque on the wall of all who have accomplished this and have added my name to it. All the staff call me ace whenever I come to play.

This is a once in a lifetime thing for most golfers, and it's just the right thing to do to make at least a little fuss over it. Do something, anything, just don't make the golfers feel slighted.

Will not be playing this golf course again. The Marshall was nice, but was being pushed around by the “president” of the men’s club. It took us between 5-6 hours to play a round and was constantly being held up by the president and his group. On every hole, my group and the two groups behind us were waiting on the same tee box for them to finish. When asked if we could play through, we were told the “President” would not allow it and would complain if we tried. When we tried talking to the Marshall about it, he told us they are now playing slower on purpose because he had told them to move faster. You would think a president would have more etiquette than this and the Marshall told us he does this all the time. It's my local weekly golf course. It has beautiful mature trees throughout each hole with a constant sierra nevada mountains range back drop. The fairways are straight with rivers running near so hit straight,lol. There is a 7 eleven after the 9th hole if your dehydrated by then. After 18th hole there is I believe the one of the best Basque restaurant in nevada ( the other is the JT). They have a great bar by putting green to reflect and amazing food.
